the league will look at a restart.
Think we have done an amazing job to have run a league for this long however I feel its getting to a stage where its becoming rather repetitive and doesn't really have any long term direction. Having to recycle draft files might have contributed to it but I just think its time for this version to close its doors.
The long term GMs have kept the blood in this league flowing and Im very appreciated of that, I know its very difficult to be able to have a league filled for nearly 90% of the time we have been operating. Some might not be a fan of this decision and I apologise for that, but end of the day this was going to happen eventually.
Plan going forward, there's many options, guess that's why I've decided to pull the plug now so we can discuss them.
What year should we restart at? should we run a creation draft? new rules/camps etc you would like to see us using.
Very open to shaking it up.

Yeah I originally planned on seeing how next Season went but the more I thought about it the more I was in favor of a restart, it also gives me more time to work on a file.

We had a great run. Heres hoping I win the title this year lol. Moving Forward I'd be willing to take on a bigger role if need be. I have a mac so can't get FBB but DC tracker or something like that just anything you guys need. A creation draft would be great but would take too long to be honest. I say we start with a file in the late 80s or early 90s and use those teams and then bring in our draft files from here.

Btw im going to take this opportunity to claim the lakers if possible no matter what year file we use/if we do a creation draft. I've never had the Lakers in a sim league and I'm obviously a huge laker fan so if shorty wants to fight me over the lakers bring it on haha |

I think we should start in a fairly current year (sometime in the 200s) but maybe change the drafts to mixed between retro and current
could also do the opposute and start in like early 90s but mix in current players to the retro drafts and save some retro guys for drafts in the 2000's etc
think one of the biggest things for long success in this league was the unpredictability of draft classes and i think this would be a good way of doing the same thing but making a twist on it

I'm in favor of a more recent start time, but it would be just as repetitive if we started an earlier than 07 since we basically just went through those drafts.

Yeah probably best to start retro seeing as we were making our way through the 2000s in recent seasons, maybe early 90
People who want the Bulls should have to go into an online random generator to see who gets them

Can't say I didn't see it coming, it was fun while it lasted and I enjoyed being apart of it. Easily the longest and greatest SL I have ever been in.

I think a present day creation would be cool.. fee years of draftees since aars been working on the deep drafts and then go retro

And ya, pretty sure we're picking teams like last time where we picked 3-5 teams we like then the order gets randomized on random.org
I really want the Pistons though and apok isn't here to hog them

Since we would have 20 years of draft files and no Jordan in this year, I think 98-99 season would be perfect to start with, only problem would be the weak drafts.

Creation Draft with current players in this league and randomize Draft years so anything can come up except for drafts with current players obviously.
Randomize for selection # and then we select our team in reverse order so if I got #1 then I select #29 for my team name.
just throwing ideas in.
