This didn't make sense at all. There should be no way aar gets this amount of cash or any cash. It's not like he waved drazen. Like srg said. Aar took a gamble and lost. Who's to say that the Knicks wouldn't have gotten under the hard cap if they would of atleast tried.
& I bet if gms knew this cash was going to anybody they wouldn't have gave nearly as much. It should of been stated in the beginning.

I didn't send him any sort of message asking for the cash from the auction, he thought of it because he knows I got a raw deal. |

aar you can't realistically expect to get $1325. You are always biased when you defended your lopsided trades, but I kind of assumed that you were doing your due diligence and defending yourself cuz no one will.

I lost out on two top-5 picks because their GM bitched out. I think the question kinda boils down to whether a HC penalty should be implemented even if a GM quits before it takes effect. If yes, then aar got screwed no question But if not, then the GM leaving + team restructuring is just a consequence the Wiz gotta deal with for holding onto another team's first I do think it's more arbitrary than people think, given that there is no actual rule as to what happens when a GM does quit like that... it does make sense that aar gets some compensation given that the Drazen decision was also arbitrary. 1300 does obvious seem like too much though, idk.. |

there really isn't any reason for the Wizards to a penny whatsoever, if there is it's very weak as everyone here who has traded for a pick or traded away a pick knows that unless you protect it a certain way, there's no guarantee you'll get the #1 pick or the #29 pick. If you trade a pick and expect it to be loto and come to find out the team improved and wins 50 games that year, it's kinda like "oh well, tough luck" the same goes for a contender trading a pick away to find out it's been loto (this definitely has happened to me a couple times, unfortunately). People don't ask for compensation because of this.
The arguement aar is trying to make, is because of special circumstances that he should get something for it. When really the same thing happened as I outlined above, and from my POV it's no different, ya it sucks for aar, but LGM was a moron and decided to fuck himself over then bail before we even put him under 48 hours (if you look back, he planned on quitting when he couldn't waive his players). We're not going to waive Yao Ming, because that's completely unfair to the new GM who won't have any picks and aging players (who we're trying to recruit so the team isn't a useless CPU team). We also shouldn't give aar a cent because what he's arguing is really minor.
Also should mention I'm absolutely amazed the sort of control aar seems to have over the league, I have never seen a GM with this much power that isn't a simmer, or any sort of significance to the league other then being really active and GM president. We have had a ton of great GM's in this league guys like shard, dae, braz, shorty, bloop etc etc etc and really active/vocal ones like svedda. None of them could just bark and get what they wanted (I'm just talking in general, not trades). Maybe it's because this league is in year 2050 and not 2020 and bundy/others aren't as involved anymore. I still find it amazing.

Aar has limited control over the league, but he is one GM that tries to get involved in as many aspects of the league as possible, outside of us simmers the league has always needed a fM too look over areas of the league and have a supervisor role, not GMs who sit back and only really show interest when a topic like this is discussed
