This is silly. Just put him in FA for next season.

Drazen to the Wolves Now my plan was to pass on the cash used for this onto aar for compensation regarding the Knicks not receiving the HC penalty. aar can claim the cash within the next 2 weeks.

Hang on, why does aar get all of the $1325? Sure, it was his ruling as GMA president, but this affects the entire league. Doesn't any other team get a cutback?

Agreed that's bs imo. Especially since the HC period wasn't even over. It wouldn't have been that hard to get a team to take Turk and a couple expirings for free....
Never happened before why happen now? Just because it's aar? BS.

If any other team should get cash, it's timtomasI'd be willing to give him a 1/3 of the money since he has this year's pick and I have the next two. If people are unhappy with that, I'm also cool with Yao becoming a free agent this year with the Knicks having no ability to bid on him.

I honestly don't see why we should punish the team when the GM left.
Also confused that Aar gets any benefit from this. In situations like this in the past the cash always went to the league office.
Basically giving him two free camps.

500 is a fairer price if any compensation is given, imo

Knicks are under HC now so no need to waive Yao. And either everyone gets a cut (with you getting an extra $50 or $100) or nobody gets anything. To let you know where I'm coming from: Ty, Itnas, and I never got a cent for all the rulings and and simming we've done in the past. It seems silly to get paid that much for one decision

Both of your proposals benefit you greatly aar. You have two Knicks firsts so releasing Yao is obviously good for you. Or the alternative is to get paid 1k and give $300 to Nuggets lol.
Neither are even close to fair.

Ok, I won't come up with alternatives then and I'll just go by what the commissioner says.
$1320 is fine by me.

the 1320 is worth more than the picks aar owned so that is wayyyy to much compensation. I don't even understand why he's being compensated never mind why he'd receive that much compensation.

How about, we thank you for making a ruling on the Knicks situation, and we all move on? You're not getting 1320 bud. If you do, then that's the biggest bullshit I've ever seen, and every GM here who has a job (camp checker, waiver checker), should demand a raise to $2,000 a season

Not my problem super and blue went mental on this, if you guys have an alternative idea feel free to share it. Impression I got was aar was getting an disadvantage since Yao wasnt waived, but if its affected other GMs more then distribute the cash or like mentioned cash can just go to head office.

Welp kinda with not winning Drazen now haha but def feel like it should be distributed. If Yao was waived Heat would've won the claim since he had enough cap and highest priority

true i never even thought of that but heat got way more screwed than wizards if thats the case

I thought that we got rid of that rule with the new CBA changes.
I think it's IR and then free agent now.

Yeah the Heat aren't really affected by this.
The easiest "fair" option would be to give the cash to the "league office" or to distribute the cash evenly between all teams excluding the Knicks and Timberwolves
Or maybe give Aar $300, and the rest can either be distributed evenly to the rest of the teams, or go to the league office.

Maybe 1320 or the picks arr have
He can choose to sell it back to nyk for 1320 or keep the picks

well the 1320 is more valuable than the picks at the moment in my opinion so that wasn't that awful of a proposal
I think Aar should just get like 300 or something and the rest to the league bank

It's more valuable than the picks at the moment because the team wasn't hit with the HC penalty, which drastically diminished them.

Agreed. Knicks could have gotten under. Not everybody else's fault their gm quit before the time limit. Cash distributed evenly or goes to league office. Only reasonable solution....
