2001 Draft Notes
Caron Butler: (One weight camp for quickness, not eligible to start at SG) Butler is listed at SF but he can backup SG. Additionally, he will be able to start at SG if he attends 3 weight camps and does not gain weight in any of them.
Samuel Dalembert Dalembert is a nasty shot blocker, the best in the draft. He has some big struggles on the offensive end and many scouts think he's so far behind that he'll never amount to anything on offense, but with what he brings defensively he won't need to.
Josh Howard A jack of all trades, Howard can do a little of everything. Best case scenario he's a perennial all star that can fill up a box score, but some scouts have called him lazy and if he doesn't improve on his current skills he won't be more than a decent backup.
Chris Kaman Very raw at only 19 years old, Kaman is projected to be a lottery pick by those who think he has elite potential and a 2nd rounder by those who think he'll flop. He's shown good quickness for a big man and has a knack for blocking shots, but no one knows how the rest of his game will shape up.
Shane Battier The best perimeter defender in the draft, Battier can also knock down the open shot and plays smart basketball on both ends of the court. At 23 he may not have much more room to grow, but he should be a valuable player for any team that drafts him.
Luke Walton Walton is a smart player, but has less pure athletic talent than most of his peers. His passing is 2nd to none and he can hold his own defensively against big and small players alike, but his shortcomings have most scouts projected him as a late 1st/early 2nd rounder.
Mike Dunleavy (Not eligible for the bonuses below) The sharpshooter on Duke has scouts raving about his size and skill shooting the ball, but he's mostly a one dimensional player at this point in his career. If the team who drafts him runs an outside offense for 15+ depth charts he will receive a +3 bonus to 3's and jumpshot at the end of the year.
Nick Collison/Kirk Hinrich (Played together on the Hawks their rookie season; Don't believe that bonuses were claimed. Collison never camped/Hinrich only camped once Like peanut butter and jelly, Collinson and Hinrich are a combo that go best together. If these two end up on the same team during their rookie season they will both gain a +5 boost to potential. In addition, Hinrich will gain +5 passing and Collison will gain +5 inside scoring.
Dajuan Wagner- Confirmed only one handling camp. Can backup PG but not start An incredible player at the high school level, Wagner is skipping college and coming straight to the NBN. His quickness is elite, but he's considered by most to be too careless with the ball to play PG at the next level. He is currently only eligible at SG, but if he has the PG Camp or Handling Camp he will be eligible to back up PG. If he has two of those camps (either one of them twice or both of them once) then he will be eligible to start at PG.
Richard Jefferson (Grizzlies Won 21, 35, 34 games, in last year of rookie contract he was on Bucks who won 52 games) Never claimed Always a winner, Jefferson thrives in a winning environment. He is already a very polished player coming out of college as a 21 year old and some don't think he has any room to grow - however if he is part of a winning team he may become extremely motivated to contribute to his team's success. If he is drafted by a team that wins 42+ games he will gain a +4 boost to potential, +8 if the team wins 50 or more.
Troy Murphy (Drafted by the Rockets and TMac made the All Star game, eligible for the bonus; Bonus given) Murphy is a big man who plays more like a shooting guard. He can knock down an open shot and even uses his height to get some rebounds, he's often been accused of lacking toughness. If he's drafted by a team with a player who makes the all star team in the 2001 season he will gain +5 strength.
2002 Draft Notes
Maurice Evans (Has two jumping camp so still eligible as SG) An athletic speciman who specializes at lock down defense, Evans comes into the league as a SG - but he's strong and could fill out into a player more suited to the SF position. If he has a weight camp that makes him gain weight then he'll only be eligible to backup SG, two weight camps that cause him to gain weight and he'll be strictly a SF.
Ryan Humphrey (Has had 3 Quickness camps; Qualifies to start at SF) Solid player in college, may not have size or athleticism to succeed in the NBN although many scouts feel like he hasn't reached his peak yet. He is a true PF but his size may cause him to struggle in the paint so he has been working on learning SF too. He is allowed to backup SF but cannot start there unless he has 3 weight camps that give him quickness.
John Salmons Knows what to do with the ball in his hands, Salmons can make offenses tick with his stellar passing - and he's no slouch putting the ball in the basket himself . Salmons can start at either SF or SG, and can backup PG. Some think he will turn into the perfect super-sub at the 1/2/3.
Reggie Evans Nicknamed "The Collector", Evans is one of the best rebounders you'll see in your life. He's also a tenacious defender who can out hustle anyone and will never quit. His offense is extremely limited however, and he's not likely to improve much.
Lucas Collins (created player) Collins was overlooked by most scouts but has been opening eyes in private practices with his ability to defend the post, pound the glass, and put the ball back in the hoop on offensive rebounds. Scouts are still worried that he's not athletic enough to play at the next level though, and won't to create many shots.
Dimitris Diamantidis** A Greek legend, Diamantidis will try his hand in the NBN draft next year and hopes to make an impact in the 2004-2005 season when he's finally eligible to come over. He is a pass first point guard with the size and strength to play SG or even SF - he has a huge wingspan and is an elite perimeter defender. He can knock down a catch-and-shoot 3 pointer, but may struggle to create his own shot against the elite competition he will find in the NBN.
Rafael Araujo (Drafted by the Blazers and shared the Roster with Bostjan Nachbar; eligible for the bonus; Don't see where it was claimed) An absolute beast of a man, Araujo is the strongest player in the draft and an immovable object in the post. His skills are extremely raw though, and he may have trouble fitting in around the locker room. If he goes to a team with another foreign player (must have a country in the 'College' field on the player page) then he will gain a boost of +5 potential as he will have someone to relate to in the locker room and take some pressure off of him as being the only foreigner.
Gilbert Arenas (Averaged 32.5 MPG at PG in 1st season & 39 MPG in second season, both claimed) A tweener with no true position at the next level, Arenas has elite quickness and is a great shooter but may not be able to guard a typical NBN shooting guard and will turn it over too much to be a true PG. He's also a loose cannon and may not stay as focused as other draftees - the only way for him to reach his peak is to get playing time and plenty of it. He will gain a +5 potential boost after his first season if he averages 20+ MPG, and another +5 after his 2nd season if he gets 30+ MPG. Must be claimed as a camp before the following TC, and only eligible if he plays in every game of the season barring injury.
Marcus Haislip A versatile PF, he has also been known to play some center and can even back up SF (but not start there). He doesn't have the potential to turn into a superstar, but could be a very solid role player and even start in a pinch - but will likely never log big minutes for a championship contender.
Carmelo Anthony (No All-NBN defenders on the roster 2002, 2003, 2004 nor 2005; Not eligible for bonus) One of the most athletically gifted players to come out of high school, Carmelo also has a silky smooth shot and can finish at the rim with ease. His defense is lacking though, to put it nicely and he would do well with a defensive mentor. If he goes to a team with an All-NBN defender (can have been on the all defensive team at any point in his career) at PF/SF/SG he will gain a boost to his defense. +2 Per D for SG, +2 Post D for PF, +1 Per/Post D for SF Only 1 boost per year until his rookie contract is over, must be claimed as a camp.
2003 Draft Notes
Viktor Khryapa An undersized PF, Khryapa can start at SF but has proven to be a more effective player at PF in the overseas leagues. He is an excellent offensive rebounder who won't ever take over a game but can fill a box score with blocks, steals, assists, and rebounds - and will even knock down a three pointer from time to time.
Zoran Planinic- (Has not been moved to SG; Bonus not given)- no longer in the league Technically a PG/SG, Zoran is generally considered too turnover prone to successfully run the point in the NBN. Lucky for him, his 6'7" frame will easily allow him to slide into the SG slot if his turnovers prove to be too much to overcome. If he is moved to SG he will gain +10 handling (claimed as a camp), but never be allowed back to PG.
Luther Head - sent to Handling camp in 2005- can start there An undersized SG right now who is basically a 3 point specialist at this point. He can backup PG but not start there, if he gets 1 handling camp he will be eligible to start at PG.
Jarvis Hayes- (Had Quickness camp; Moved to SG) A prolific scorer in college, Hayes probably lacks the athleticism to score in bunches in the NBN but should still be an effective source of points and defense off the bench. Can backup SG, but generally lacks the quickness to guard opposing SGs. If he improves his quickness in the weight room but never gains strength in the weight room he will be able to start at SG.
Antonio Gates- (Has been to 3 Strength camps; Bonuses given) A superstar 2 sport athlete, Antonio Gates brings a little bit of his football mentality to the basketball court. Many scouts think he is too much of a "tweener" to play at a high level, but others think he will bring a new level of play to the SF position in the NBN. Gates plays like a PF, is listed as a SF, but has the height of a SG. Gaining strength in the weight room gives Gates double the bonuses of a normal player.
Andre Kirilenko- (Eligible for bonuses, but never claimed) AK47 is a defensive monster with room to grow on the offensive end, but the potential to do so. His offense will grow faster if he is a focal point in the half court set, and will be eligible to gain +3/2/1 to any scoring rating (inside, jump shot, 3 point shot) if he is the #1/2/3 option for more than half of his teams depth charts (must be claimed as a camp)
2004 Draft Notes
Rodney Carney- (Has 1 Jumping and 1 Quickness Weight camps; Moved to SG) An explosive athlete who doesn't have the skills necessary to be a big time player in the NBN right now. He is listed as a SF but can backup SG, and will be able to start at SG as long as he has two weight rooms with quickness or jumping and no weight rooms to gain strength. Currently projects to be a backup wing player, but could develop into a starter with a couple of good training camps.
Juan Carlos Navarro (Went undrafted and re-entered the 2005 Draft) Despite his small frame, Navarro plays more like a SG than a PG although he is eligible to backup the PG position. He has been a great scoring threat in his time overseas and is content with his current Euroleague team - if Navarro is not drafted in the 1st round he will refuse to sign his contract and will return to Europe.
Boris Diaw One of the most unique players in the league - Diaw has the body of a SF, passes like a PG, and can defend any of the 5 positions on the floor. He will be eligible to backup SG and his best case scenario is probably to settle into a role where he is on the depth chart at 3 or even 4 different positions.
Nenad Kristic - Played 86 games in 2005- Camp was never claimed A skilled player with good size, Kristic has below average physical skills but is working himself into shape. If he is able to play 80+ games he will gain +2 strength, quickness, and jumping (must be claimed as a camp). Kristic is eligible for these bonuses for the first three years of his career.
Vladimir Radmanovic (Has had a Quickness Weight Camp; Eligible to start at SF) An outside shooting specialist, Ramanovic is deadly when left open from the outside but has no post game to speak of and is a little soft for a Power Forward. He is mainly a Power Forward at this time, but can backup Small Forward - and if he gains more quickness or jumping from the weight room than strength in his career he will be eligible to start at Small Forward.
Jared Jeffries (Had strength camp in 2007, but that was his 4th season. Eligible to start at SF) A very lean and long Power Forward, Jeffries is a defensive specialist who isn't a threat on the offensive side at all. He projects to be a Power Forward for most of his career, but is able to backup SF - and will be able to start at SF if he doesn't gain strength in the weight room during his first three seasons.
Rodney White- (Never averaged more than 4.7 PPG- cannot find a trace of him after 2006) Seen by some to have enormous potential and others to be a bust waiting to happen, Rodney White will have to prove his value on the court or risk losing his chance forever. If he averages 15ppg he will gain a +5 boost to his potential, and a +10 boost if he can average 20ppg (must be claimed as a camp). These bonuses are available each of his first four seasons, and he must play in every game in which he's not injured.
Ike Diogu- (Two Inside Scoring in 2004/One Big Man Camp in 2007) Bonuses were Claimed A natural at putting the ball in the hoop when he's close to the basket, all camps that improve his inside scoring double the normal inside scoring bonus (must be claimed as he's camped)
Kirk Snyder (Never had a mentor camp) A bit of a loose cannon - Kirk Snyder will need a reliable mentor to reach his full potential. Each mentor camp for Snyder results in an additional +5 potential (must be claimed as he's camped)
2005 Draft Notes
Hakim Warrick- Never sent to weight room
A true tweener, Hakim Warrick comes into the league with the game of a Power Forward but the body of a Small Forward. He is eligible to backup SF right off the bat, but to start there he'll need two trips to the weight room where he works on either jumping or quickness.
Giorgos Printezis**- Moved to SF, $200 was spent in 2005 A traditional PF, some think he won't be able to handle the rigors of matching up with big men in the NBN but he will be eligible to be moved to SF for $200 (post in cash spending)
Lebron James (No triple/doubles as of Day 35)- Was never claimed. Old Box Scores will not pull up, so I cannot see whether he had any triple doubles The best prospect that NBN has ever seen, King James can do it all. He is expected to fill the stat sheet every single night, even in his rookie year and is almost certainlly a future HOFer. For every triple double he gets his rookie year, he can gain +1 to any rating of your choosing (must be claimed as a camp)
Julius Hodge/Sun Yue/Alex Acker- Hodge had two quickness camps and two PG camps. Others didn't have either Three shooting guards that display legitimate PG ability at times. All three are eligible to backup PG. All three can become starting PGs if they have two PG camps and two weight rooms that focus on their quickness.
Chris Bosh- was 2nd in scoring first 2 years, led Suns in scoring in his 3rd. Claimed in 2010 Thrives as his teams #1 option, and has the potential to turn into a player who can take over games with the ball in his hand. Will gain +3 to any scoring rating of your choice (inside/jumper/3 point) if he leads the team in scoring any of his first 3 years (repeatable, claim as a camp).
Shaun Livingston Played 87 games in 2007/82 in 2008- Neither was claimed A young PG with massive potential, Livingston will gain +4 potential for each year that he can stay healthy while on his rookie contract (must play 82 games to qualify, claim as a camp).
2006 Draft Notes
Steve Novak- Never sent to weight room A sharp shooting big man who spent most of his time as a PF in college - he will be eligible to backup SF right away and will be able to start there with one weight camp addressing his lack of quickness.
PJ Tucker- Sent to two quickness WR in 06/08- Eligible to start at SG A PF in high school and a SF in college, Tucker has the frame of a professional SG. Most NBN scouts want to turn him into a full time SG, but it will take time for him to adjust. With one quickness weight room he can backup SG, and with two he will be able to start there. His lack of lateral quickness may hinder his ability to ever be an effective perimeter player though.
Kris Humphries- never sent to weight room A slightly undersized Power Forward, he is eligible to backup SF but he lacks the quickness to play there for more than a few minutes at a time without being exposed. If he goes to the weight room to put on strength then he will no longer be eligible to backup SF.
Brian Fuchs A created player, Fuchs is an undersized point guard with a knack for knocking down three pointers. He won't wow you with his passing, but he gets the job done and takes care of the ball on the offensive end. On the other end of the court Fuchs is a tenacious man to man defender on the perimeter that can sometimes get exploited due to his size - but it's not for lack of effort.
Monta Ellis Eligible to backup PG, he will be eligible to start there if he has a PG camp or Handling camp - but he's probably better suited to be an undersized SG for his entire career. Ellis knows how to put the ball in the basket, and can also find open teammates with ease. Turnovers are a problem though, so his time running the offense should probably be limited.
Jared Dudley Not the most athletic player in the draft, but knows his role and plays it well. Dudley has a high basketball IQ that allows him to backup SG even though he is a natural SF. He has also been known to play some at PF. Although he has 'B' potential - most scouts think it is in the low 'B' range.
JJ Redick- Team Won 37,47,18- +2 was claimed, +3 was never claimed An elite shooter who is also a great man to man defender. Struggles with post defense though and isn't quick enough to get steals which hurts his value in some scout's eyes. Redick is a proven winner and thrives on winning. If Redick is on a team with 30+ wins he will gain +2 perimeter defense, 40+ wins he will gain +3, and 50+ wins he will gain +5. Eligible for his first three years in the league, must be claimed as a camp.
Josh Smith One of the best young defenders in the league, Josh Smith is in a class of his own for Small Forwards who can block shots. He is quick enough to keep up with smaller players as well, but also strong enough to bang with most Power Forwards in the league.
JR Smith- perimeter defense camp in 2006- does not appear that he received double bonus An incredible offensive force, but equally incredible is his awful defense. JR Smith will probably always be a terrible defender, but if he gets a mentor camp that includes any defensive ability the bonus will be doubled.
2007 Draft Notes
Marvin Williams- Was done in 2007- Can Start at SF A great athlete who is oozing with potential, Marvin Williams has gotten used to playing PF at the college level. Williams wants to be a PF at the next level too, but he is eligible to backup SF. If you send a little cash his way, you'll be able to talk him into starting at SF too ($500 should do the trick).
Shawne Williams Extremely versatile, Williams has the ability to start at either PF or SF and can even backup SG. Despite his versatility, he will probably settle in as a primary SF, or a supersub PF/SF/SG.
Greg Oden- Played all 82 games in 2007- was claimed One of the best big man prospects we've ever seen, but has some serious injury issues that may limit his potential. He will start with C potential, but gain +10 potential each season that he plays 82 regular season games. Must be claimed as a camp and can only be claimed for the first 4 years of his career.
Corey Brewer- Never sent to weight room The premier perimeter defender in the draft, Brewer is a small forward who can backup SG but needs to add quickness before he can start there. If he goes to the weight room and gains more quickness than strength, he will be eligible to start at SG.
Nicolas Batum*- Sent to Wing Man Camp in 2007 An overseas player who is eager to learn as much as he can before he steps onto an NBN court - he is eligible to be camped even while playing overseas.
Al Horford- Claimed in 2010 A very coachable player, if you draft Horford you can subtract any amount of potential and add it directly to any non-athletic rating (no jumping/strength/quickness). Must be claimed as a camp, eligible for his first 4 years in the league.
Guillermo Diaz- Claimed in 2007- used 5 times/ Not used in 2008 With the best vertical leap in the draft to go along with outstanding quickness, Guillermo Diaz makes for an interesting prospect. His biggest problem is his non-chalant attitude which most scouts think will translate into not having a desire to improve. You can pay him to focus on improvement though - costing $100 for +3 potential in his first year or $100 for +2 potential his 2nd year (reusable up to 5 times per year - must be claimed as a camp)
2008 Draft Notes
Rajon Rondo- never sent to a weight room Rondo is a great athlete and has one of the best combinations of defense, passing, and rebounding we have seen in a PG. However because of Rondo's small frame (170 lbs) he might not be able to rebound with the bigger point guards in the league. If you send Rondo to three weight camps where he gains weight you can claim one free rebounding camp that doesn't count against his camp limit
LaMarcus Aldridge- Aldridge was camped twice by Big Country Bryant Reeves- cannot see that Shaq/LA played together Aldridge's initial decision to attend college rather than entering the pro ranks directly from high school was influenced by Shaquille O'Neal's personal advice that he should go to college and then evaluate his NBA prospects. If you have Shaquille O'Neal and Aldridge on your team you may claim 1 Mentor camp at no cost.
Martell Webster- Both quickness weight camps done in 2008- eligible to start at SG Very good shooter and finisher at the rim who lacks the quickness to create a ton of offense for himself. Webster will nail his share of catch and shoot opportunities. Has the offensive game of a SG, but lacks the quickness to keep up with other SGs on the defensive end. One quickness weight room will allow him to backup SG, and two quickness weight rooms will allow him to start there.
Wilson Chandler- Sent to one strength camp, no quickness camps An outstanding athlete who uses his athletisicm to play outstanding defense and grab rebounds at an above average rate. Chandler is eligible to backup SG with one weight room where he gains quickness.
Anthony Randolph- Sent to strength weight rooms in 2008 & 2009- Does not seem that double bonuses were requested/given A very thin, athletic power forward - Anthony Randolph has all the tools to become a star but is still very raw after just one year in school. Randolph will gain double bonuses for each strength weight room he goes to in an effort to get his body ready for the rigors of the NBN. He can also choose to mold his body into a SF type player - with one quickness weight room he will be eligible to backup SF and with three he will be eligible to start there. His quickness weight rooms do not cause him to lose weight.
Renaldas Seibutis- Claimed by Sonics in 2010 & 2011 A very coachable player, Seibutis relies on his skills and smarts more than his athleticism. You can trade any amount of potential for any 2 points in a non-athletic rating for the duration of his rookie contract. Seibutis is also eligible to backup PG.
Blake Griffin- Played 82 games in 2008 & 2011- Never claimed for 2011 season/ 2008 season was claimed on 12/12/15 by zheld32 A high-flyer with an NBA ready body, Blake possesses all of the athletic ability needed to be one of the top PFs in the league. After only a year in college, his potential is through the roof. Also a good chance were gonna see this guy compete in a few dunk contests for the next few seasons barring any major injury. If he can avoid injury for a full 82 games, he gains a +3 boost in potential for each season he does so under his rookie contract.
2009 Draft Notes
Stephen Curry- Did not make 250 3 Pointers during the course of his rookie deal. The best shooter that we've ever seen coming out of college, Steph Curry has a chance of being the best shooter in NBN history. If he makes over 250 three's in a season he will get +3 three point shot and +3 jump shot (eligible for duration of rookie contract, must be claimed as a camp).
Curry's shooting potential is so great that he is not capped at 90 for camping his jump shot or three pointer.
Larry Sanders- Mentored twice in 2010 by Webber. Received double bonus An outstanding shot blocker and rebounder, Sanders has some personal problems that may prevent him from reaching his potential - but with a good mentor he can grow by leaps and bounds. All mentor camps for Sanders will get double bonuses.
Andrew Bynum- has played 75 games with 25 MPG twice. Claimed both times A big time big man prospect who has been hampered by minor injuries throughout his high school career. Bynum has a broken foot right now and will miss some time this season, and to reach his full potential will need to stay healthy and avoid injury. For each season on his rookie contract that Bynum plays 75+ games with at least 25 minutes per game, he will gain +5 potential (must be claimed as a camp)
Dionte Christmas- Motivation camp used in 2010, but has never garnered player of game honors. Christmas is a solid, well rounded player who probably doesn't have much room to grow - however every year in December he starts hearing his name more and more during the holiday season and he gets fired up, earning a free motivation camp on day 20 for every season in his career (must be claimed as a camp). For every player of the game that Chrismas gets during his motivation camp, Christmas earns +1 to any rating of your choice.
Terrence Williams- Quickness Weight Room done in 2009- eligible to start at SG Athletically gifted, sometimes Williams relies too much on his athleticism to put points on the board and can get into a funk offensively - but he does everything else extremely well. One of the rare triple double threats on the wing, Williams can also defend three positions and is eligible to backup SG. With one quickness weight room he will be eligible to start there.
Bill Walker- All three camps done in 2009- Eligible to start at SG, jumping bonus was given An outstanding dunker who had off the charts leaping ability prior to his ACL injury. He has the offense of a SF, but the body of a SG. He'll probbaly be most effective at SG in the NBN, but he won't be able to start there until he gets three quickness weight rooms (although he can backup after just two). Additionally, Walker will be rehabbing his ACL injury in the weight room and will also gain an equal amount of jumping for each quickness weight room.
Derrick Caracter- Played with Andrew Nocioni in 2009, no champions in 2010, didn't play in 2011. Never claimed A hugely talented high school prospect, Caracter has a poor work ethic and it's really hurt his previously sky high potential. If he gets on a team with a positive influence then he can still live up to his potential, but it's a long shot. For every player on his team with a championship, he will gain +1 potential (per championship) at the end of the season for each of the first three years of his career. Must be claimed as a camp.
Jeff Pendergraph- Mentored by Peter John Ramos- defensive bonuses given With some of the best post moves in the draft, Jeff Pendergraph will be looking to make his mark on the NBN as a projected 2nd round pick. His offense is fine but he needs massive work on his defense. He has committed himself to learning what he can, but he can't do it alone. For every defensive ability improved by a mentor camp, Pendergraph will recieve TRIPLE the bonuses. Must be mentioned as the camp is claimed.
2010 Draft Notes
DJ Augustin- Both camps in 2010, double bonuses were given Augustin is a true PG but will probably never become a superstar. If you send Augustin to PG Camps he will receive double bonuses for the ratings increases.
Draymond Green- Has been mentored by Webber/Arenas and CP3(x2)- Has not been an All Star through 5 years A very unique player, Green passes like a point guard, shoots like a shooting guard, has the body of a small forward, but rebounds like a power forward. Green can be mentor camped by any position. He is also a quick learner and great leader - making every mentor camp gain four ratings rather than the normal three, and if Green himself is ever an all-star in the future when he is mentoring someone, they can be at any position and gain in four ratings as well. He is also eligible to backup SF.
The Lopez twins- Currently both on Hornets- Was claimed in 2013 Brook and Robin Lopez have been playing against each other for years and know exactly how to push each other to be their best. If they end up on the same team during their rookie contracts they will each get +3 potential. Must be claimed as a camp.
Jimmy Butler- both done in 2013 by Hawks A small forward in college, Butler has all the tools to play SG in the NBN but will need a bit of motivation to do so. For $200 Butler will be able to backup SG and for another $300 ($500 total) Butler can start there.
Tyreke Evans- no PG or handling camps done A point guard in college, Evans is more of a 2 at the professional level - but with some work he can become a starting caliber PG. Evans can backup PG right away, but will need two Handling camps AND two Point Guard camps to be eligible to start there.
Derrick Williams- all camps and weight rooms done in 2010, eligible to start at SF Talented offensive player who also plays solid positional defense, he is an undersized PF at the pro level and will play a bit of SF, but lacks the quickness to start there. With three quickness weight rooms AND two Wing Man camps, he will be able to start at SF.
Quincy Pondexter A long wing player who does a little of everything, Pondexter is a primary SF but is eligble to backup SG.
Jeremy Tyler*- Played 29.9 PPG in rookie year(Claimed) 14.6 MPG Soph yr/ 26 MPG his 3rd year(not Claimed) / 17.9 in 4th Year(Not claimed) No All Stars in any year An overseas player from San Diego - Tyler quit high school to pursue a basketball career overseas and still has a year on his contract with Tokyo. He has all the physical tools to be a dominant player, but has an attitude problem if he's not playing, and will need to get playing time and be surrounded by good leaders to reach his potential. Tyler will gain +3 potential for 15+ minutes per game and +5 for each season with 25+ minutes per game (must play in each game that he isn't injured.) D League minutes do not count.
He will also gain +1 potential for each player on his team at the end of the year who has played in an all-star game. Both of these must be claimed as camps and can be claimed for the first four years of Tyler's career.
2011 Notes
Tyler Honeycutt- one wing man camp in 2011 One of the best leapers in the draft, Honeycutt doesn't have much offensive potential but will fill the box scores with defensive stats and has the potential to be one of the best rebounding SGs in the league. Right now Honeycutt is a SF that can backup SG, but with two Wing Man camps he will be eligible to start at SG.
Victor Oladipo- Neither camp done. An explosive athlete that lacks raw talent but is oozing with potential, Oladipo is more of a combo guard and can backup PG right out of college. With the Adapt camp and a PG camp he will be able to start there, but he is probably more suited for a career at SG with less than ideal ball handling and distributing skills.
OJ Mayo Mayo is a solid playmaking guard who is eligible to backup PG. Suspected of receiving illegal benefits during college, Mayo knows how to skirt the rules and get away with it. If Mayo receives any PED camps during his career, he is guaranteed to avoid suspension if the league catches wind of it.
Michael Beasley- All three camps done in 2011- Eligible to start at SF A college PF for all four years at Kansas State, Beasley is undersized to be a PF in the NBN but too slow to keep up with most Small Forwards at the next level. With three quickness weight rooms he will be eligible to start at SF.
Evan Turner- Mentored by Brandon Roy in 2012- Eligible to start at SG A do-it-all wing player, Turner is an above average passer and rebounder but is far from the most talented scorer in the draft. He is eligible to backup SG and will also be eligible to be mentored twice by a SGs. If he is mentored by a SG, Turner will be eligible to start at SG.
Derrick Rose- Played all 82 games in 2013(claimed) One of the most athletic players to make himself eligible for the NBN Draft, but injuries have always reared their ugly head. If Rose plays 77 or more games in a season, he will receive a +5 bonus to any rating, including Potential. If Rose plays all 82 games, the bonus is +10 with a +5 max increase to a given rating. Must be claimed as a camp & is eligible through the duration of rookie contract.
John Wall- 2011 Played all 82 games, but averaged 1.5 steals. 2012, 78 games, but 1.3 steals/game, 2013- 81 games, but 1.4 SPG, 86 games and 2.5 SPG in 2014(claimed) Could be the best on-ball defender & thievery artist the league has ever seen. Wall's Perimeter D/Drive D/Stealing/Quickness are all capable of maxing out at a rating of 100. For every season of Wall's rookie contract that Wall produces 2+ Steals per game and plays more than 60 games he will receive a +2 increase to the 4 aforementioned ratings above. Must be claimed as a camp at the end of the season. Wall also does not have the normal cap of 90 on those ratings for Improvement Camps.
2012 Draft Notes
Tim Hardaway Jr.- Nuggets Glen Rice Jr.- FA Ray McCallum Jr.- Hornets
All players with successful basketball parents, if this trio of "Juniors" find themselves on the same team, their dads will sit together in the stands and talk about how their sons can play better - they will then pass this knowledge on to their sons in the way of +3 potential for each player each year they finish the season on the same team. +6 per player if all three finish the season on the same team. Must be claimed as a camp, eligible for the first four years of their career.
Alexey Shved- both camps done on April 4th 2016- Shved can start at PG A guard with ideal size for a wing player but PG level ball handling skills. Handling camps give double bonuses for Shved and with two Point Guard camps he will be able to start there.
Rudy Gobert- Two Big Man Camps done on 4/1/16 for 50% more cash "The Stifle Tower" is a huge man with a 7'9" wing span with a knack for getting blocks and rebounds. With one more year overseas "The French Rejection" won't be in the NBN until 2013, but he is eligible to be camped his first year for 50% more cash per camp ($500 camps become $750). Also there is no cap to how high "The Gobert Report's" blocks can be raised with camping.
Tobias Harris- Both weight rooms and the wing man camp have been done. Harris is eligible to start at SF Classic tweener who is too small to play power forward, but too slow to play small forward. His talent is undisputable though. He is listed at PF right now, but can backup SF. One Wing Man Camp and two quickness weight rooms and he will be eligilbe to start at SF.
Hassan Whiteside- Drafted 15th overall- Ineligible for D-League under current rules An extremely raw but talented player, Whiteside will need to spend some time in the D League to maximize his potential. For each year in the D League Whiteside will gain +10 potential. Whiteside also gets double bonus from all D League awards.
Lance Stephenson- Spent rookie year with Dirk- Claimed, 47 wins as a rookie/ 44 wins SO yr, played with Dirk(claimed)/ 3rd yr- 33 wins/0 First teamers/ 4th year 22 wins, 0 First Teamers One of the biggest high school prospects a few years ago, Stephenson is one of the strongest Shooting Guards you'll see but also comes with and huge character issues. Stephenson will need to be on a good team with proven leaders to reach his full potential. For each season with 50+ wins he will gain +5 potential, and each season he spends with a former All NBN 1st teamer he will gain another +5 potential. Must be claimed as a camp, eligible for the first 4 years of his career.
Markieff Morris Marcus Morris Currently both players on the Nets- Markeiff rebounding camp on 4/4/16. Marcus received camp as well. Both Mentored by Kawhi Leonard 2014 If the Morris Twins are on the same team at any point during their rookie contracts, regardless of which player is camped...both players receive the same camp increases for the given camps.
Darius Morris- Drafted 45th Overall- Potential stays at B The third Morris in the draft behind Markieff and Marcus, Darius doesn't have nearly as much upside as the other two and often gets discouraged hearing the name "Morris" in the draft when it's not related to him. If Darius is drafted in the first round then he will immediately get motivated and turn his potential from B to A.
Giannis Antetokoumbo- none in 2013, 1 in 2014(Claimed), 0 in 2015, 0 in 2016 An incredibly versatile point forward in the making. For every triple/double that Antetokoumbo posts throughout his rookie contract, you will receive 5 free attribute points to add to his ratings (Max of 5 to a given attribute per season). So you can double dip the increases over multiple seasons. Must post in spending with the link to the box score.
Andre Drummond- averaged 12.8 RPG as a rookie(claimed) 14.1 as soph(claimed), 14.7 in 2014(claimed), 13.2 in 2015(unclaimed), 13.3 in 2016(unclaimed) One of the best rebounders you'll ever see, Drummond is a beast on both the offensive and defensive boards. If he averages over 11 rpg during his rookie contract he will gain +2 to both offensive and defensive rebounding, and his rebounding can go over the cap of 90 via camps.
2013 DeMarcus Cousins- claimed in 2013, claimed in 2014, claimed in 2015 A huge talent with equally huge character concerns. DeMarcus Cousins needs to be the star on the team to tap his full potential. Cousins will gain +10 potential each year he leads his team in scoring on his rookie contract. To be eligible for this bonus he also must be the #1 option on all 24 depth charts of the season. Must be claimed as a camp.
Joel Embiid- Celtics finished 2nd in division Embiid is an absolutely amazing defender with the potential to be the next Dikembe Mutombo but with more offense. He enters the draft with a major injury though and will sit out his entire first year. If the team that drafts him finishes last in their division while he is a rookie, he will not be motivated enough to work himself back into shape and will suffer a setback in rehab and will miss his entire sophomore season as well. Embiid is NOT eligible for camps in any year that he is injured.
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist- Suns Michael Carter-Williams- Suns Sharing both a hyphenated last name and the first name of Michael, these two have an undeniable synergy and will instantly become best friends if they are on the same team. If they are on the same team at any point and have an injury, they will both be extra motivated to make it back onto the court and will receive a free Doctor Camp to the max allowable amount. Must be claimed as a camp.
Perry Jones- neither were done Jones has a guard's game in a center's body, and may not be able to find a true position in the NBN. He comes into the league accustomed to playing PF but can backup SF right away and will be eligible to start at SF with two Wing Man camps and an Adapt camp. (Must specify when he is eligible to start at SF when camp is posted)
Enes Kanter - Was not ROY or Rookie of the Month One of the only threats to Cousins for the rookie awards, Kanter will come into the league with a chip on his shoulder hearing everyone talk about DeMarcus and no one else, and will get motivation in the way of +5 potential for each Rookie of the Month award he gets. Kanter will also gain +5 to any rating of your choice if he can win Rookie of the Year. Must be claimed as a camp
Marcus Smart- -All camps done and potential increase claimed
A young undersized 2 guard who thrived in college at getting to the rim. At the next level he's up against a new caliber of athletic defenders and can't get to the basket as easily to get his normal shots. With 2 perimeter scoring and 2 handling camps he'll help open up his game and will gain +10 potential.
Jared Sullinger- All 3 weight rooms done in 2013- quickness bonuses given A huge threat at the collegiate level just due to his strength, Sullinger knows that he needs to improve his quickness to play with the athletically gifted forwards in the NBN and has been working on moving his feet. Sullinger gains equal amount of Quickness during strength weight camps.
Kristaps Porzingis- Brook Lopez was All 2nd Team(unclaimed), Brook first team in 2014(Claimed), none in 2015, none in 2016 Although he lives overseas, Kristaps has always religiously followed the NBN and its culture growing up. He has a very diverse skill set and if thrown into the right situation his confidence will skyrocket and motivate him to step his game up. If paired with an All-NBN 1st team player he will gain +5 potential, +3 for 2nd team and +1 for 3rd team. These are cumulative if more than one player on his team makes the All-NBN team and the player MUST make the all-NBN team in the year that this is being claimed. (If he was on the Celtics this year he would gain +5 for Paul on the 1st team and +1 for Hibbert on the 3rd team for +6 total). Must be claimed as a camp, and only on his rookie contract.
Nerlens Noel- sent to all three weight rooms 2013, Played all 82 games in 2013(claimed), played 81 in 2014, 82 games in 2015(claimed), 75 games in 2016 A very gifted athlete who can play forward and center. He has the height of a big man but lacks the weight. His collegiate basketball career ended in his first season with a tear of his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) at the University of Kentucky. This did not slow him down and he showed great determination rehabbing to get back to 100%. During his rookie contract his is eligible to go all three types of weight camps to get all the bonuses. He is also eligible to gain +5 potential for every season in which he misses no games to injury. Must be claimed as a camp during his rookie contract.
Khris Middleton- mentored 2x and supercamp. 1 Handling Camp in 2015, Handling Camp in 2016 Middleton excelled at basketball at an early age. He attended Porter-Gaud School, where he was coached by John Pearson. As a junior and senior, he was named South Carolina Player of the Year, and was a McDonald's All-American. His coach John Pearson played point guard in his college days and passed on a lot of great point guard attributes. Khris went on to play college basketball for Texas A&M University, where he started the majority of the games in his freshman year. In his sophomore season, he earned second-team All-Big 12 honors after leading the Aggies in scoring with 14.3 points per game. Even though Khris grew too tall to realistically be a PG, he still learns PG skills at an incredible rate, and will receive double bonuses if he is sent to a PG camp or handling camp - and is eligible to backup PG if he goes to two of each during his career.
Seth Curry- Drafted 23rd, eligible for 4 years in the DLeague- DLeague Rewards Claimed Brother of Steph but is no where close to the player that he is. Seth will need time in the d league. He will be eligible for all 4 years in the d league if taken in the 1st round that makes him d league eligable (20 and below). If he wins any awards in the d league his value gets double.
Nikola Jokic- not sent to Sabonis camp yet One of the most versatile bigs in the draft who can do it all. One of the best aspects to his game is his passing. If you send him to the sabonis camp you get a 2 for 1 special.
2014 Jabari Parker- Changed Loose Ball Camp in 14, Mentor camp in 15 A classic "tweener", Parker played both forward positions in college but will be more of a PF as he grows into his body. Still has the instincts to play SF though and is able to backup SF. Parker is a pretty well rounded player, but definitely needs to work on his rebounding to be a starting PF in the league. Any camp he is sent to can have ratings go to either rebounding rating rather than the normal rating for that camp. Must be noted at the time of camping.
Andrew Wiggins- Did not win ROY An elite talent on the wing, he has the talent to start right off the bat - but if he doesn't he is eligible to backup SG. Wiggins has all the tools you want from a lottery pick but his mentality has been questioned. If he can prove that he is the best rookie by winning Rookie of the Year he will earn +10 attributes to distribute as you see fit (must be claimed as a camp).
Archie Goodwin-none of them done Goodwin has the mentality of a SG, but has some PG skills too. Goodwin will be able to backup PG, and with an adapt camp + two PG camps can start there (must reference draft note once all camps are complete and he will be changed to PG)
Kyle Anderson- no adapt done yet A point guard in college, Anderson is a PG in a SF body. Adapt camp will allow him to backup both SG and PG and he can be mentored by guards.
Jeremy Lamb- All Done and bonus claimed Lamb could become a potential "3 & D" player, but he will need to put on some weight to truly be effective at the next level. If you send him to 3 strength weight rooms, you will be given a bonus of 15 pts to spend on his defensive attributes (Per D, Post D, Drive D, Stealing, Blocking) with a 5 point max to a given attribute.
Dragan Bender- not done At just 17 years old, Bender is another player who will need to put on weight to deal with the rigors of the NBN. Bender's strength weight rooms will grant double bonuses and after his 3rd he will also gain +5 inside scoring (must be claimed as a camp). Also once he has had 3 strength weight rooms he will find that he enjoys working out and will get double bonuses to strength in any camp during his career (must be noted at the time of camping)
Buddy Hield- no mentor camps done An absolute sniper from downtown. If he is mentored he will receive double mentor bonuses to 3 point and jump shot ratings if those are among the 3 ratings increased (+6 to each rather than +3). Hield also has a 95 limit on camping increases to jump shot or 3 pointer rather than the traditional 90 cap on camping. Both of these things must be mentioned at the time of the camp for them to apply.
Royce White- no mentor camps, but 6 qualifying vets on team (Claimed), 8 vets in 2015(Claimed), 4 in 2016(claimed), 6 vets in 2017(unclaimed) While White is a very talented all around player, he is constantly getting in trouble off the court. White really needs good mentors & vets to show him how to be a professional. For each mentor camp he receives double boosts. Furthermore for every 4 vets (6 years or more in the league) on the team that selects him he will receive a +5 boost to potential during each of his first four years in the league, the caveat is the vets must play at least 10+ minutes a game. Must be claimed as a camp at the end of the year with the names of each qualifying veteran.
Montrezl Harrell- mentored(possible bonus), 2 loose ball camps in 2015(claimed), 2 rebounding camps in 2016(claimed) Diamond in Rough(2017(claimed) Maurice Harkless- no camps Jarnell Stokes- no camps This trio of players are tenacious & ferocious rebounders with incredible motors. For every camp that improves their rebounding, their Post D & Shot Blocking will improve by an equal # of points. Must be noted when camping.
Emmanuel Mudiay- no mentor camp D'Angelo Russell- mentored by JKidd(claimed) While they are PG's, they are more in the mold of Russell Westbrook & are known more for their scoring abilities than their playmaking/passing. To become truly great distributors in the league, they will need a good mentor. Any mentor camp that improves their passing or handling will give double bonuses to the passing/handling ratings. Must be noted at the time of the camp.
2015 Austin Rivers/Tony Wroten/Nick Johnson/Jordan Clarkson- none done This quartet are probably better suited at SG, but they all have some PG skills too and are able to backup PG their rookie season - and with two PG camps and an adapt camp they will be able to start at either guard position.
Zach Levine- Camps Done 2015- Changed to PG A combo guard with outstanding athletic ability but low basketball IQ. He should struggle running an offense by himself, at least initially, but he will be able to backup PG right out of college. With two PG camps he will be able to start there, but he's probably best used sparingly at the point.
James Young- never mentored Young is a player who knows how to make shots, from the inside or outside he has a way of putting the ball in the basket, and also has the potential to be a very good defender in the right system. If Young is mentored he will receive double bonuses for all scoring or defensive ratings.
Denzel Valentine- camp was done for Prince, but +1 not claimed. Claimed in 2017 for Rozier, Gordon, none in 2018 Valentine is a natural leader who can do a bit of everything on the basketball court. Despite being a wing player, Valentine is a whiz at passing and will be eligible to backup PG. He also has a way of making everyone on the team better, and every time one of his teammates is camped during his rookie contract, that player will gain a bonus +1 to any rating.
Tyus Jones- 3 camps done in 2015, 3 done in 2016, 2 done in 2017, no camps in 2018 The best true PG in the draft, Jones can run a team better than anyone at the college level but left a lot to be desired on the defensive end. Most of his defensive deficiencies stem from not focusing on defense enough to save effort on the offensive end, but he is willing to put in the work to change that. Each season Jones is eligible for 1 additional camp as long as the previous two did not improve an offensive ability (inside, jumper, 3 point, handling, passing). Must be mentioned at the time of using 3rd camp so we don't confuse Don.
Satnam Singh-claimed by Nets in 2015 A huge speciman of a man, Singh was mostly productive against much smaller players before coming to NBN. In order to feed his confidence, Singh will need to play against other smaller players in practice. If Singh is on a team with no other 7 footers, his potential will be moved to 100. Must be claimed as a camp - usable anytime during his rookie year, must have valid 12 man roster. 7 footers who are overseas do not count for this draft note.
Nik Stauskas- on Twolves in 15/16, Bullets 17/18- never made the playoffs A big time shooter who comes through in big time situations, Stauskas needs to be in the spotlight to reach his true potential. If Stauskas is on a playoff team during his first four years in the league he will gain a +1/3/5 boost to his 3 point rating based on how far his team makes it. +1 for 1st round, +3 for 2nd round, and +5 for beyond. Must be claimed as a camp, can go over the cap of 90.
Steven Adams(on Hawks Lebron(3rd)unclaimed), 2016 Curry(1st) LBJ(3rd)(unclaimed), 2017(Curry(1st) Lebron(2nd)) claimed- 2018 Cavs(none) Thrives on a team with great players around him, Adams will gain +5 potential for each player on his team on the All NBN 1st team, +3 for all 2nd team, and +1 for all 3rd team. Must be claimed as a camp, eligible for the first four years of his career.
2016 Damantas Sabonis-2 Sabonis camps in 2018 The son of the namesake for our Arvydas Sabonis Handling Camp, Damantas can go to his father's camp for free and can also go to the camp more than twice in his career, although the 2 camp per year limit still applies.
Jahlil Okafor- Free Inside camp in 2016, Big Man Camp in 2017(claimed), 2 inside scoring camps in 2018(free camp not claimed) One of the best low post players offensively that we've seen coming out of college, Okafor is an absolute beast with the ball in his hands on the block and gets one free improvement camp that includes inside scoring each year of his rookie contract.
Jamal Murray- PG not done in '16/17/18, Handling camp done in 2019, not eligible to start at PG A combo guard who can backup PG, Murray spent most of his minutes on the college floor as a SG - he's got a lot of work to do before becoming a full time PG in the NBN. Murray is eligible for 1 additional PG camp and 1 additional handling camp (3 total in his career rather than 2) and will need all three PG/handling camps to start there.
Michael Fusek* This 7'4" rim protector towers above other prospects in this draft, however with a frame of just 220 lbs he will get pushed around in the NBN. With some specialized weight training he can put on 20 lbs of muscle and +10 strength, but it will cost $1000. With his improved strength he will gain +5 post D as well. Must be claimed as a camp, but does not count against the 2 cap limit.
Omer Yurtseven*- claimed in 2017, loose ball and filling out camp in 2017, no camps in 2018, no camps in 2019, no camps in 2020 An athletic and talented big man with a nice inside and outside game. Yurtseven is on the thin side and has been described as "soft". He will likely need to put on strength to compete with the bigs in the NBN. He is dedicated to weight training and will gain triple bonuses whenever he gains any strength - but he also loses 1 quickness and 1 jumping.
Thon Maker- done 2016, age rolled back to 20/ done in 17, age rolled back to 20 again/not done in 2018, not done in 2019, not done in 2020 Currently listed as 21 years old, but there are reports he may be younger. The team who drafts Maker can spend $500 to investigate his true age which has a 50% chance to reveal he is actually one year younger than he is currently showing on the roster page. This is reusable up to three successful tries, and each successful try comes with a boost of 5 potential. Must be claimed as a camp, does not count against 2 camp limit.
Olivier Hanlan- not done A shoot first combo guard, he's not effective enough at running an offense to start at PG yet although he can backup PG straight out of college. With 2 PG camps to be able to start there.
Willie Cauley-Stein- claimed in 2016, defensive camp in 2017- claimed, claimed in 2018, supercamp in 2019(claimed) The best potential shot blocker in the class and the best overall defender as well, Stein will receive the perimeter equivalent when his post defense is camped during his rookie contract (if he is camped in blocks he also gains equal steals. Same with Post/Perimeter D)
Mirza Teletovic-played 12 MPG in 16, 13 MPG in 17, 0 MPG in 18 no WR, 0 MPG in 2019, no weight room done An international player who took his time coming to the NBN, Teletovic has finally decided to declare for the draft but will make his debut as a 30 year old player. With Teletovic we know what to expect at this point in his career, but that's not to say he can't still improve; playing a step up in competition will help him grow on his strengths. If he averages 30+ minutes per game during his rookie contract he will gain +2 to his four highest ratings, if he averages 15+ mpg he gains +1 instead. Must be claimed as a camp at the end of the year before the following regular season starts. He will also be able to backup SF and he can start there with two wing man camps and three weight rooms focusing on quickness.
Langston Galloway-no camps done yet Galloway may be overlooked by some because he struggles to score at times and almost never connects with a flashy pass. Combine that with his relatively low ceiling and Galloway may fall on draft boards and will probably be underdrafted. He does plenty of things well though, including being one of the best perimeter defenders in the draft and he knows how to run an offense extremely efficiently, limiting mistakes better than any draftee in recent memory. When Galloway is camped he can turn any increase in 'Passing' into an increase in 'Handling' - and he also does have the cap of 90 when improving his handling or perimeter defense.
2017 Frank Ntilikina claimed in 2017, claimed in 2018, claimed in 2019, not claimed in 2020 This French sensation comes into the league with great size, skills, and basketball IQ. At only 18 years old though, he lacks strength to play against the grown men in the NBN. He is eligible to gain +5 strength at the cost of $500 each of his first four years in the league. This is in addition to the 2 camp max, must be claimed as a camp.
Daniel Hamilton- 1 free adapt done, only played 28 games and 14 MPG in 17, 3.7 MPG in 2018, FA in 2019, FA in 2020 A great hustle player, Hamilton will give it his all for a team that believes in him. If Hamilton plays 60+ games and averages 15+ minutes per game during any season on his rookie contract (note this is only the first 2 years for 2nd rounders...3 with a 2nd round contract extension), he will get a free Loose Ball Camp that doesn't count towards either camp limit. Hamilton is also eligible for 1 free adapt camp at any point during his career, and can have 2 adapt camps for his career (2 gives him the ability to backup PG). Must be claimed as a camp.
Chinanu Onuaku- done A defensive force in the paint with almost no offensive ability at all. Onuaku will do whatever it takes to help the team though, and he recognizes his offensive limitations and has been working on "granny shot" free throws to improve his dreadfully bad shooting from the charity stripe. For $500 you can convince Onuaku to shoot his free throws underhand (like so: and gain +10 to his jump shot. Must be claimed as a camp.
Ben Simmons- 4 perimeter camps done- no adapt done Comes into the league with a stellar all around game and a body type that is perfect for the NBN. The only knock on his is his shooting, which he is willing to work on. During his rookie year Simmons is eligible for two perimeter scoring camps that do not count towards the 2 camp max. He is also eligilble for 4 perimeter scoring camps in his career. Simmons is also eligible to play 3rd string PG and can backup PG with an adapt camp.
Karl-Anthony Towns- not drafted #1 An extremely talented big man who can do a little bit of everything but especially shines as the main focal point for a team. If he is drafted #1 overall he is eligible for 3 camps his rookie year. If he drafted #1 and is the #1 option on his team for all 24 depth charts (with no injury that makes him miss an entire sim) then he is eligible for 4 camps his rookie year. If he is drafted #1, is the #1 option, AND leads his team in scoring he is eligible for 5 camps his rookie year.
DeAndre Bembry- one double double(unclaimed) A triple double threat from the SF position, Bembry will gain +5 potential for each triple double logged during his rookie contract, and +1 potential for every double double. Must be claimed as a camp.
Allonzo Trier-drafted 7th and claimed An outstanding scorer, Trier knows how to put the ball in the basket - but he doesn't really do anything else at this point in his development. If he is selected in the lottery (1st 13 picks of the 1st round) then he will be extra motivated and see his 'B' potential raise to 'A'.
Nigel Hayes- was cut by Warriors before DLeague A playmaker in college, Hayes has the mentality to score but not necessarily the skills. If he goes to the D League and leads your D League team in scoring he will gain +2 inside/jumpshot/3 pointer.
Augusto Lima- only played 1 game in 2017, only played 30 games in 2018, did not play enough in 2019, did not play enough in 2020 A great hustle player without a lot of raw skills, Lima should find a spot on someone's team as a valuable energy guy off the bench. For each season that Lima averages between 10-15 minutes with 70+ games played he will gain a free Loose Ball Camp that does not count against the camp limit.
2018 Isaiah Whitehead- no camps in 2018, 2 handling camps in 2019, no camps 2020, no camps in 21 A versatile combo guard in college, Whitehead still has a lot of work to do before he's an NBN ready starting point guard. He can backup PG right away, but will need two PG camps and two handling camps before he can start there.
Bryn Forbes-won Dleague 3PT contest(unclaimed) One of the best pure shooters we've ever seen, Forbes once made 77 out of 100 3's in a pre draft workout. If he ever wins the 3 point contest (even in the D League) he will have his 3 point and jump shot raised to 100. Repeatable throughout his entire career, must be claimed as a camp.
Tim Tebow- one player of the game(unclaimed) The ultimate team player & locker room leader, who has a knack for raising the morale & confidence of all his teammates. For every Player of the Game Tebow produces during his rookie contract the entire team will gain a +1 Potential, max 5. Must be claimed as a camp at the end of the season.
Harry Giles- Strength camp done in 18, jumping/quickness in 2020. 10 rating points claimed An extremely gifted player, who was the top player in his high school class. He struggled with knee injuries that have sapped a lot of his athleticism. In order to gain that explosiveness back he will need one of each weight room type (jumping, strength, quickness) Once he has received all 3 weight rooms, Giles will receive an additional 10 ratings Points to be used towards Strength/Quickness/Jumping.
Melo Trimble- Mini Mentor Camp claimed in 18, super mentor & inside scoring in 19(claimed) WBC camp in 20(Claimed), 2 scoring & team camp in 21(claimed) Trimble is extremely dedicated to improving his weaknesses & becoming a more well rounded player. For every camp that Trimble goes to during his rookie contract his 3 weakest non athletic attributes will be improved by 4 Points. You must notify at time of each camp posted the instructions of +4 to the 3 Weakest non-athletic attributes.
Stanley Johnson- Scoring Camp claimed in 18, Perimeter Scoring in 19(Claimed), no camps in 2020, no camps in 21 A very athletic high energy guy that desperately needs to work on enhancing his offensive game. For every camp that improves any of his 3 shooting attributes (Inside/Jump Shot/3 Pt Shot) Johnson will gain an additional +1 in all 3 shooting attributes.
Luka Doncic- all three bought out A very young & raw prospect who likely will reach his potential & learn more by coming over to the NBN sooner & receiving tutelage from seeing the style of play sooner. If Doncic is bought out of his OS contract ($250 for each season that is bought out) then all attributes will gain a + 10 & Potential will be decreased by 15. This is if all 3 seasons are bought out. If only 1 or 2 seasons are bought out, then Doncic receives +5 in all ratings & -10 Potential.
Manu Ginobili- Nets went over .600 in 19(claimed) A great international prospect, he is happy to stay in Argentina and play out his contract then come to the NBN in two years. However, if the team he is drafted to is above .600 at any point during the 2nd half of the season, Ginobili will void his contract if asked and come to the NBN early. His $1 salary for being an international player will remain (as his salary will be paid by his Argentina club), AND he will become eligible for camps during those $1 international years, but his camps will cost 50% more ($750 for a normal improvement camp)
Kevin Knox- no camps done- played with Miles Macvan(3rd in FIBA)-claimed A one year rental for Kentucky Knox comes into the NBN with a lot of raw talent but little experience. He was too tall to play quarterback, so Kevin Knox became a 5-star basketball recruit instead. USA Basketball assistant director BJ Johnson noticed him on Nike's EYBL tour. Johnson settled in to watch "Each 1 Teach 1", the same Florida-based collective that produced Ben Simmons a year earlier and D'Angelo Russell one season before that.
Using his QB background Knox with gain double points when camping his handling or passing, he will also get a bonus if playing with a teammate who wins gold, silver, or bronze in the Olympics or FIBA. +3 to 3 ratings for Gold +2 to 3 ratings for Silver +1 to 3 ratings for Bronze Must be claimed as a camp during his rookie contract.
De'Aaron Fox- Loose Ball Camp- claimed in 2018/ Perimeter scoring in 19(claimed), scoring camp in 2020(claimed), mentor camp in 21 Fox is known as the fastest player in the country coming into this years draft. Many people say that he reminds them of John Wall when attacking the basket. His speed helps him on both ends of the floor. Any time his quickness is camped he gains the same amount of Inside Scoring and Perimeter Defense. All of these are not affected by the normal 90 limit cap and can be camped up to 100.
2019 Marvin Bagley Jr.- did not win either of first two Rookie of Month, did win Rookie game, Magic will not make playoffs One of the most well rounded players we've seen, Bagley is a smooth, natural, do-it-all superstar who may be one of the best prospects in the generation if he can stay hungry. If Bagley wins one of the first two Rookie of the Month awards, is on the winning team in rookie/sophomore game (or wins POTG on the losing team), AND wins Rookie of the Year while playing for a playoff team, Bagley's potential will be raised to 100.
Skal Labissiere- mentored by Lopez/Biedrins in 19, Spurs sending to DLeague, double mentored by Mirotic in 20 An import from Haiti, Skal started playing basketball later in his life and will need to land in a good situation to thrive. Labissiere can be mentoered by two players at the same time, and position doesn't matter. He will gain +3 to each of his mentor's top 2 ratings, including athletic ratings. He is also eligible for 4 career mentor camps. Labissiere is also D-League eligible no matter where he is drafted.
Cassius Stanley- done in 2019, done in 2020, done in 21 A freakish athlete coming straight out of high school, Cassius Stanley can jump out of the gym and has the heart of a champion. He's used to playing SF at the high school level, but will need to focus on his jump shot to play at his more natural SG position in the NBN. Stanley is also fairly weak compared to the NBN competition and will need to hit the weight room. Whenever Stanley's jump shot or 3 pointer are camped, you can buy an equal amount of points to strength at a cost of $50 per point (up to 5 per year).
Shake Milton- Diamond in rough camp in 19(claimed), flashy passer in 20(claimed), free adapt in 20(claimed), no camps in 21 A bit undersized as a 6'4" SG right now, Milton has the ball handling to turn into a PG in the future. He is eligible for one free Adapt camp, or he will be able to start at PG with two mentor camps from a PG. Milton also gains double points when his passing attribute is camped.
Josh Richardson(free camp claimed in 19) A rather unheralded player who will benefit from the D League more than anyone. For each season in the D League, Richardson will receive 1 improvement camp free of charge that does not count against the cap limit.
Sacha Killeya-Jones claimed in 2019 A very talented player with all the right physical tools to become a great player in the league - his heart and motor are big question marks though. Sacha often looks like he doesn't care on the defensive end, and he's not the best rebounder either. For each mentor camp, he will receive an automatic 1/2 grade boost if all 3 mentored attributes are non-offensive (C goes to C+ before any boosts are applied, etc). The 1/2 grade boost will be applied to either rebounding (if two of the three attributes are rebounding categories), or defense.
Marko Arapovic- claimed in 2019, not claimed in 2020, not claimed in 21 A very friendly and outgoing foreign player, Arapovic will befriend all the other foreign players on the team he is drafted by. He will give each foreign player on the team who drafted him +3 to any non-athletic rating of your choice.
Jalek Felton- not done A big time risk/reward player - Felton has great handling and adequate defense out of college, but can't score as well as he needs to right now. His 'A' potential should help with that, but he is more of a long term prospect than most other players in the draft. Felton is willing to work with the team that drafts him. If he is drafted in the 1st round, Felton will agree to extend his rookie contract to 5 years (at $4 mil), and have an extra years worth of camping. This decision must be made before the regular season of his rookie year.
London Perrantes claimed in 2019 for Joe Young, claimed in 20 for Joe Young, not claimed in 21 Not the most physically gifted player, Perrantes is a good leader both on the court and in the locker room. He doesn't realistically have the talent to be able to supplant any NBN starting PG, but his impressive work ethic is bound to rub off on his teammates. Any PG on the roster when Perrantes is drafted is eligible to gain +5 perimeter D. This can be repeated every year on his rookie contract, but never on the same player twice.
Nick Emery- 2nd in APG, 1st FT%, 1st 3P%(claimed) Coming into the league at the ripe old age of 26 Nick is the oldest player in the draft. Using his veteran status, Nick can pick up things faster than your average player and will be will be able to gain double bonuses for anything learned in the D League. He is also D-League eligible no matter where he is selected in the draft.
Jonathan Isaac- Focus on Weakness camp in 2019(claimed) mentored by Noel(claimed), supercamp in 21(Claimed) At 6-foot-10 and 210 pounds, Isaac is a supersize wing who plays primarily as a small-ball PF, and he spaces the floor out to the 3-point line. Being such a versatile player Isaac can be mentor camped by any position, and will also be able to gain an equal amount of post/perimeter defense whenever the other one is camped.
Dani Diez- mentored by Carmelo in 2019, potential claimed, mentored by Josh Smith in 21(Claimed) A true raw talent that has a long way to go to reach his full potential. He will need a lot of mentoring in order to reach this. Because of this he is eligible to double the mentor camps, 4 in total for his career. Every time he is mentored he is eligible to claim +5 potential. Must be claimed as a camp during his first 4 years in the league.
2020 Michael Porter Jr.- one wingman camp in 20, one wingman in 21- eligible to back SG A smooth forward, Michael Porter has a nice touch on his passes, and enough skills on the perimeter to backup SG if he goes to two wingman camps. He can also backup PG if he really works on it, and will be eligible to backup PG with two PG camps and an adapt camp (in addition to the wingman camps).
E.J. Montgomery -Big Man Range camp in 20(claimed), All Star camp in 21(claimed) Oozing with potential, Montgomery is an athletic power forward who thinks he's a guard sometimes and is always looking to improve his outside shot. For every camp where either his 3 pointer or jump shot are improved (but not both), he will gain an equal bonus in the other.
Isaac Bonga*- all strength rooms done and claimed in 20 Listed at SF, Bonga has played PG, SG, and SF overseas and is eligible to backup SG with two wing man camps, and PG with two PG camps. Bonga is very talented and fluid with the ball with tremendous size and ability to make highlight reel passes - but his body isn't NBN ready yet and he'll get pushed around by many NBN wings. As an overseas player he has time to hit the weights before making an appearance in the NBN. For each weight room he goes to as an overseas player, he will gain double strength.
Przemek Karnowski- no quickness improved in 2020 or 21 A mountain of a man, Karnowski is a much worse rebounder than you'd think for a man his size and it stems from a lack of quickness. He is simply so slow on his feet that he cannot chase down rebounds unless they come right to him. Whenever he improves his quickness by any means, he also gains an equal amount of offensive and defensive rebounding.
Gary Payton II drafted by Sonics and extended(claimed) One of the best defenders in the draft, his offense has quite a ways to go - especially for a point guard. He is older than most players in this class and not perceived to have much potential, but if he is drafted by one of the teams his father played for (in either the NBN or NBA) and given a 2nd round contract extension he will become motivated and raise his potential from C to B.
PJ Dozier- none in 20 or 21 An athletic combo guard, Dozier can backup PG right away but will need a lot of work to be able to start there at the professional level. With two PG camps, two handling camps, and two mentor camps he will be eligible to start at PG
Deyonta Davis- not done in 20 or 21 While he still needs to improve on offense, Davis is an NBN-ready defender straight out of college. With the capability to guard both the post and perimeter, Davis will gain equal amount of perimeter defense when he gains post defense in a camp.
Sekou Doumbouya- done in 2020 A tweener forward who can put the ball in the basket in a variety of ways, but lacks the ball handling to play on the perimeter or the strength to play in the paint. With two handling camps, Doumbouya will be able to start at SF.
Nazreon Reid, not mentored yet With the body of a power forward, but the mentality of a wing - Reid is sure that he's a perimeter player in the mold of Paul George or Kevin Durant. If he is mentored by someone who will improve his outside scoring (jump shot or 3 pointer) then he will be extra motivated and gain double the bonuses for those ratings.
Moisei Kim -mentored by Durant in 20, played w Yurtseven and Akyuz from Turkey(claimed), played w Akyuz, Rodriguez, Montiejunas in 21(unclaimed) Kim is skipping college and coming right into the league at only 18 years of age. He is eligible to be mentor camped by anyone on your roster that came right from high school. These camps count towards the season two camp limit but do not count towards the two mentor camp limit. He will also be more comfortable playing with a fellow European player. If he finished the season with another European player on the roster who played at least 20 games he can claim +1 to 3 stats. Must be claimed as a camp during his rookie contract and does not count towards the two camp limit.
Dzanan Musa- none in 2020 or 21 He has tremendous scoring instincts, really good ball-handler. Uses big wide crossovers on the perimeter. Uses hang dribbles to get into his pull-up. A lot of change of speed to his game, driving in either direction. His major weakness is that he is just an average athlete. Because of this Musa will need to spend extra time in the weight room. He is eligible to go to each weight room 3 time for a total of 9. The regular gains stay the same for each weight room - ie +3/2/1 and weight gains/losses stay the same.
Amirhossein Khandanpour-claimed A fine young specimen Khandanpur showed lots of promise int the FIBA Asia U18 tournament in Tehran. Vs South Korea he led the team with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Khandanpour should be able to to make it as a big man in the NBN but is still a bit undersized. To fully reach his true potential Amirhossein can be sent to both the Growth Camp and the Filling out camp during his rookie season. These do not count towards the 2 camp limit for that season.
Hamed Afagh- not done in 2020 or 21 While Afagh is a fantastic shooter and a fundamentally sound defender, Afagh struggles in some areas that would make a player be considered well rounded. For any camp that increases his passing, defensive rebounding, or steals, Afagh will receive +1 in all three attributes.
Luka Mitrovic- was cut before season At 24 Mirrovic doesn't have a lot of potential or room to grow into a thriving member of NBN. D-League would do wonders for him. Even if he is drafted in the first round, Mitrovic is eligible to go to D-League as if he was a second round pick(until he makes an All-DLeague First team). Mitrovic is also eligible to gain +3 inside scoring or defensive rebounding to shore up his weak spots if he is awarded with a D-League first, second, or third team.
