ya I'm back, but it will be a short stay as I am letting you guys know that I'm quitting today as both commish and GM of the Heat, if I have been replaced as either the commish or GM (I wouldn't be surprised, and I don't mean that in a bad way knowing Bundy's recruiting skills) then there will be no protest from me. I needed time to come to this decision, because I wanted to be sure whether or not I wanted to continue. I probably should have let everyone know sooner, but didn't want to quit and then feeling like I wanted to come back. I'm 100% sure now that I don't want to continue.
Some events, both past and distant past has led me to quitting as commish and I doubt I will ever be one again. There's just too much drama that goes into sim leagues, not just this one but for the most part everyone I have been apart of. And it's understandable, people want to compete and people want to put their teams in the best possible position they can. Sometimes that leads to alot of back and forth either from GM to GM or GM to commish. In my experience, stuff that happens between Commish and GM is more devastating then GM to GM. And I don't want to be engaged anymore in that kind of confrontation and I don't want to engage a Commish in that kind of confrontation. Also being a commish does have a certain level of responsibility that I feel like I can't live up to anymore.
Before I go on, I just want to say that this is not Shorty's doing, and I understand why he went after me and I can understand his frustration. I will just say that preseason on my part was a complete disaster and I could have done a better job making sure that it didn't get worse then it did, but I did let it get out of control. I will also say that the next day when I saw what was said wasn't the first time I thought about quitting as a commish, there were other small instances which lead's me to posting this today. I wouldn't be quitting today if it was just that confrontation that shorty and I had. There are things that I have seen commishing in other SL's that have also led to this decision
As for being a GM again, I can't jump right back into a SL after quitting this SL, I'm not going to say that I'm retired as a SL GM like I am a commish, but you won't see me on any other SL sites for sometime other then one site I'm on now, which is crap but I have put alot into that SL team (3 or 4 years of tanking) and I don't spend alot of time on that site (maybe 30 minutes max). Whether or not I come back here in the future, isn't out of question either, but I'm not entirely sure if I will be welcomed back. There's bigger things in my life anyways that need to be taken care of before I ever come back to being a GM again for any site.
I will just say thank you Bundy for letting me not only be in your SL but being a commish and I also want to say thank you Flip for helping the both of us out and I'm sorry for any inconvenience I may have caused for the past few days. I want to say thank you to everyone who will see this for making this a competitive sim league and one of the more competitive I have been in. I also want to say thanks to itty for coming over and taking up the Cavs and then later on joining us over on HA. And also if jmewls ever see's this I do want to say thanks to him for letting me be a gmod over at NBAD and HA. I also want to say good luck to all of you not only in this SL but in life as well.
Also whoever takes over the Heat, don't abandon the chuck, mmk?
