#1 New York Knicks vs #8 Detroit Pistons
Regular Season Match-up: Knicks 3 - Pistons 1.
Key Match Up - Payton vs Mobley: Two players with almost identical scoring, both above average statistical defenders and both are able to distribute the ball. Mobley is arguably the better shooter, boasting better percentages, however he is going up against one of the best PG defenders in the league in Payton, hovering around 2.7 steals. Mobley needs to control his turnovers in this series or he's going to have a tough time.
Series Prediction - Knicks 4 def. Pistons 1: Even without Hedo the Knicks have enough depth coming off their bench to more than make up for his absence. Duck Johnson is a great positional defender and should be able to hold his own and attempt to negate Jefferson. The pressure will be on McDyess to go at the Knicks biggest weakness at PF, though while Foyle can't put the ball in the basket he should be able to do a great job defending McDyess. The Knicks have the better players in key positions and I think they will come out on top fairly easily.
#2 Cleveland Cavaliers vs #7 Milwaukee Bucks
Regular Season Match-up: Cavs 2 - Bucks 2
Key Match Up - Marion vs Ellis: Both teams have guards who will go at each other but the biggest match-up for me comes up front. Both squads have two talented do it all PFs paired up with predominately defensive minded centers. The team that will get the edge in this series will likely come down to which PF will outplay their opposite number. On paper you would have to give the edge to Marion for being a more complete player, however Ellis is known to turn up big in playoffs series.
Series Prediction - Cavs 4 def. Bucks 3: Actually think this series might be closer than a lot of people expect. The Cavs back-court isn't that flash defensively and the Bucks have Larry "Why Am I So Good" Hughes -- a type of player who can carry games by himself. Cleveland has the depth across the board to get it done but I wouldn't be surprised if the Bucks take them the distance. Nash being injured for the first game is a blow for the Bucks, but I don't see Cleveland losing at home anyway.
#3 Washington Wizards vs #6 Indiana Pacers
Regular Season Match-up: Pacers 3 - Wizards 1
Key Match Up - Iverson vs Marbury: No surprise here, two of the most elite players in the entire league. Marbury the walking triple double up against the MVP. Both have the ability to take over game at will, but I'm giving the advantage to Marbury. He just gives off that star quality, and his impressive %s from the field and from 3 can't be overstated.
Series Prediction - Pacers 4 def. Wizards 3: I think this will be another close series, but in the end I am going with the Pacers, simply due to their depth. The most glaring weakness for Indiana was the PF position, and if the Wizards still had Diamond, I think he would have put them over the top. Montgomerie and Co aren't ready as of yet, and while Washington's bench is impressive, so is Indiana's.
#4 Orlando Magic vs #5 Boston Celtics
Regular Season Match-up: is irrelevant.
Key Match Up - Big 3 vs Celtics: T-Mac, Peja and Stoudemire are going to have to play out of their minds if Orlando is to have any chance. Don't really know what else to say at this point.
Series Prediction - Celtics 4 def. Magic 2: Fortune has derailed any chance at a repeat for the Magic, with Dirk and Crawford both out with long-term injuries. If they were healthy the prediction would be flipped with the Magic winning in 6, however I don't think they have much of a chance now without 2 of their top 6 players. I'm starting to think Peja is cursed, because for 3 of the past 4 seasons he has been on a contender where a star has been injured for the playoffs.
EASTERN PREDICTION: Knicks/Cavs finals, with the Knicks coming out on top.
FINALS PREDICTION: Grizzlies win in a close contest over the Knicks.

I feel we can beat the Knicks. We can beat almost everyone if things click.

The old guys should definitely show some hunger in this postseason. Glenn (the guy I drafted) and Penny (the guy I traded Glenn for on draft day) need to further step up.

Celtics are going to struggle covering McGrady and Peja tho. I have Damon and Ben to cover/slow Camby and Theodoras.
While we lose Dirks' scoring, Hill is a great shot blocker and he is an elite rebounder.

I think the Magic still have a much better chacne than what you're giving them credit for
they are actually one of the worst matchups for us as their best defenders cover our best offensive players and their best scorers' are at our weakest defensive positions.
