Current Playoff Seeding: 7th place

Wins Needed: 7
Home: Suns (108), Raptors (111), Jazz (116), Bulls (117), Sixers (120)
Away: Jazz (100), Lakers (101), Kings (102), Spurs (103), Bulls (104), Heat (105), Cavs (106), Bucks (107), Wizards (114), Pistons (115)

Outlook:
Currently holding the 7th seed in the west, the Nuggets seem to be in a safe zone. However the surging Rockets are making moves looking to compete for a CY reset of their own. Assuming they don't make playoffs, 7 wins is doable for the franchise. The first 7 of an 8 game-8 day stretch are all away which is dubious as they are 12-19 on the road this season. Though there are winnable games against tanking teams like the Jazz (2), Kings, Spurs, Cavs, Bucks, and Pistons. The fringe Sixers also looks a like a winnable game. Who knows, luck may be on the Nuggets side.
Projected Final Record: 43-39, 8th seed
Projected CY Status: Beaten
Odds of beating CY: 7/10
Miami Heat
Current Record: 36-32
Current Playoff Seeding: 7th place
Games Left: 14
Wins Needed: 6
Home: Hornets (100), Raptors (103), Nuggets (105), Knicks (106), Wizards (108), Cavs (109), Knicks (116)
Away: Grizzlies (101), Nets (104), Spurs (110), Cavs (112), Bulls (114), Bucks (115), Raptors (119)
Outlook:
One win closer than the Nuggets, however winnable games appear harder to come by in Miami. Nets, Spurs, Cavs (2), and Bucks appear to be the only taking teams. However the Heat look to be on a tear after acquiring Eddy Terrell. If not for some poorly timed injuries last SIM, they might be in good shape to get out of CY. The Heat will need to steal as many wins as they can at home, and whatever they can muster on the road. On the bright side, the East is not as dominant throughout as it was in season past. There are only a few dominating teams and it's really just top heavy. Playoff seeding is looking likely for the Heat.
Projected Final Record: 42-40, 7th seed

Toronto Raptors

Games Left: 16
Wins Needed: 7
Home: Pistons (100), Kings (108), Grizzlies (109), Lakers (112), Nets (114), Heat (119)

Outlook:
A brutal schedule for the Raptors, 16 games in 20 days. Rony Seikly out for 7 days hurts the team but a recent play of Eric Montross may be a deciding factor for the Raptors. Plenty of winnable games as well. Pistons, Nets (2), Cavs (2), Kings, Sixers put the Raptors in good shape to survive CY. A couple additional wins at home and a steal or two on the road would benefit immensely. Like the Heat, the Raptors also benefit from the prospects of being in a weakened Eastern Conference. Look for the Raptors to whole a playoff berth even if they don't reach 42 wins, as the only team they are fending off are the Sixers who have been struggling most of the season.
