Today we are going to take a look at the top ten league leaders across league history. NBADSL has been around since 2004, meaning that NBADSL has thrived 40 seasons. The league has seen role players, starters, all stars, superstars, mega stars, and once in a generation type talents. This is a way to honor our past favorite players, while we look forward towards the future
Points:
1) Jabari Parker - 38,403
This should come as a surprise to no one who was around to see Jabari Parker play. Even half asleep he was bound to score twenty five points. Put an elite defender on him? Still dropping thirty. Double team him? He'll still score with ease. Even as he's dipping into his sixties, he'll still get his. He had 7 seasons averaging 30+ PPG, a record that will likely be untested for a while.
2) LeBron James - 38,085
LeBron was a great player, but some felt that he never lived up to expectations. But stats say otherwise, second all-time in points scored, he also made his impact felt defensively, and running the offense. He finished 48th all-time in assists, and for someone who played a lot of PF and SF in his career, that's a real impressive feat.
3) Andrew Wiggins - 37,090
Ahhh Andrew Wiggins. He'll always be remembered for stupidly being dealt to the Lakers, when scouts couldn't find a single weakness in his game. He had an established offensive game, defensive game, stat defender, and scouts felt like he still had plenty of upside entering the league. Eastdog is somewhere hiding in North Korea so he doesn't have hear himself being mocked constantly in the media
4) Larry Bird - 35,620
Larry Bird is known for bringing the Nuggets into relevancy. He helped lead them to some impressive runs, and surely would have led them to a couple rings with a better core. Coming in at 19, he was already an elite scorer with the ability to score inside-out, was a very good rebounder and even contributed defensively. Without question one of the best to ever play in the league.
5) Carmelo Anthony - 34,176
Carmelo Anthony was a monster point blank. When the Raptors acquired him, he took them to the next level. With Kobe/JO/Oden they were beating teams but not consistently. After aquiring Melo, their offense became deadly and defensively they were led by JO and Oden. Carmelo was always a weak defender in Toronto, would get lit up every couple of games. Once Toronto traded him, not only did he show what he was capable of offensively, he became a very respectable defender. His rep will always be lazy or poor defender, but he quietly proved his doubters wrong.
6) Anthony Davis - 33,566
Anthony Davis enjoyed a lengthy career as he played a league high 1,649 games. That's not to take away from Davis, obviously. He averaged 20.3 Points, an average that would have been higher had he retired when he left his prime. He took a secondary mentor, a very respectable role
7) Micheal Jordan - 31,157
MJ > this rip off. But for real, MJ has enjoyed a successful career, but unfortunately at age 35 is still without a ring despite being on some really strong teams on Grizzlies, Clippers, and Raptors. Coming into the league he promised to bolt any team that didn't provide a championship within a couple of years, but maybe he has eased off his demands, at 35 though he doesn't have much longer
8) Earl Monroe - 31,069
Monroe was an explosive scorer from the moment he stepped onto the court. He carried his success over full seasons, averaging 36.1 PPG, 33.2 PPG, and 32.6 PPG. Rumor has it Getbeard still sends thank you letters to Tyfreak every off-season for selecting Truck Robinson over Earl.
9) Brandon Roy - 29,835
Brandon Roy enjoyed a very successful career. Entering the league after being picked after Rajon Rondo, he quickly proved Itnas wrong for not selecting Roy. Roy and Rose was a very explosive backcourt, but it was not until Roy was traded to the Raptors until both he and Derrick Rose started building their legacies.
10) Malik Newman - 29,582
Newman built a very underrated career in NBADSL. He was elite on both sides of the balls and really blew up after being involved in a trade that sent LeBron James to New York.
Players outside of the top ten still in the league:
13) Dominique Wilkins - 28,802
18) Charlie Scott - 28,097
20) Reggie Miller - 27,507
26) Scottie Pippen - 26,455
28) Stanley Johnson - 26,345
