This has basically fucked all camping related shit for the league. Its going to take me ages to estimate who has or hasnt been camped. Throws all the years the NBAD/HA crew were together down the drain, smh.

That sucks. I need my cash to finally camp Jameer. I got Jameer without being able to camp him since @hyperyellow did it all for his rookie season.

Basically we... cancelled every cash won before the switch
Cost me a lot but well it was nobody's fault

Yeah, it sucks but seems like the only solution would be to not count any cash made prior to moving over here. Camps are the biggest issue.

Dude fuck that, a large reason I did the Brand and Marion trades were because I was getting $500 each, nearly a camps worth for each. God damn it

I banked past the cap so I could Inside Scoring camps on Dwight and Josh Smith immediately. Past trades and everything were done with the expectation of this year.

I carried over the cash from HASL here because I knew exactly what I had before. I also know everything about my players in terms of camping and points if that matters at all. So for me, I can still continue as if nothing happened. I dk if a "trust" system will work tho.

I also would like to keep the cash I had before because I deliberately held back on spending before, and if we can't carry it over, I feel that penalizes those who earned that cash legitimately, and didn't spend as much on their players.

I think everybody's pretty honest on here. I know for a fact I had ~1300 before the site crashed, but I'm content with $1000 because I know rookieoftheyear and tyfreak could be references, as they remember trading me $500 for the Brand and Marion trades respectively.

I had $475 before I got $600 for claiming Van Horn. $1075.
I'd like that back because I would've had close to $12mill cap room this year if I didn't have Van Horn on my roster.

I remember someone proposing something but I am not sure if you were one of them Referring to this? [...] I imagine cash will be allowed to be spent on certain types of players: 1. Rookies - They haven't been camped yet since they just are joining their respective teams. 2. First year off Rookie contract (Physical / Skill camps) - Same as the above. It's a guarantee that these players haven't been given Physical/Skill camps. ^ With the above teams would be able to spend some of their cash or bank it if they prefer. Bundy already said he won't enforce the bank cap until AFTER we have the opportunity to spend it. [...]

This sounds like a logical solution to camps for me
1. Players off of rookie contracts (besides those just getting off this year Dwight, Deng, etc.) are NOT allowed to be camped. If they were a priority, most likely have used up their camps by now
2. Rookie Contract Players (Rondo, Aldridge, etc) are legible for 1 of the NBA Ready/Mentor Camp. This will result in some guys getting an extra camp & some getting short a camp but seems fair. They'll also be legible for additional camps once their rookie contracts are up
3. Make players off rookie contracts NOT eligible for AC/RC Points. Again, they have likely used their points at this point if they are truly a priority
4. Rookie Contract Players eligible for +4 or so RC/AC. Again some players will be short a couple points then they typically would get and some would get more
5. 2008-2009 Rookie Players (Rose, Love, etc. ) & Forward aren't affected & are subject to traditional camping rules
This seems reasonably fair to me & although some players may be getting a few additional points, doesn't seem that it'd be enough to really affect inflation

We have no other options in terms of retrieving past info so this is the way to go I reckon.

rookieoftheyear, if your plan goes through, then all 16 points I have will go to waste cuz I likely won't have rookie contract players soon. Better give us the option to bank those points into cash then. Also, is anyone open to a "vouch" system? For example, I know that some players definitely have a camp or some points left in them. Kobe should have a physical camp available. Nene should have a Skill Focus camp available as well as all article slots free. If the Grizz or the Bobcats want to camp them, they would need references, preferably from GMs who had those players. I know that Tmac has a physical camp available, but nothing else. Dirk is fully camped out in every way.

Only one i'd like critique slightly would be #1. Maybe those who have been off rookie deals for less then (2 or 3?) years can be skill/physical camped. there is a good chance that players may not have been skill or focused camp there first year signing off a rookie deal. Players often wont get a physical and skill camp in the same season. so maybe like 1st year removed from rookie deal(dwight, deng etc(aka 5th nba season)) are eligible for both camps while players one year removed from that (dont know any examples off hand) are eligible for 1. I guess this may be breaking it down to much and be confusing i just think having lots of like 26-27 year old guys who are ineligible for any camps will lead to low cash spending and everyones banks filling up to the 2k mark very quickly therefore making cash almost useless in trades and stuff.
