if that were a rule, there would be no league. You have to hit the bottom at some point, good players only stay good for so long. that is what gming a team is all about though. good teams dynasty teams are because they 1 no how to deal with the cap and 2 know how to develop players to take over after the other ones get old. Look at spurs that is one of the best run teams ever love people who use that example how did the Spurs get Tim Duncan again? |

Springs had that one year where for some reason his team didn't win and yes I had a very good team that couldn't win games according to you point is, if you can't even make the playoffs after 4/5 years, you don't really deserve a team. It's not that hard to make the playoffs, a majority of GM's here know how to do it if their back is up against the wall. That's what CY forces you to do. |

btw, I have brought this up a couple times, and I will bring it up again. I had two seasons where I went 41-41 both seasons and then I got cy'd, yet no exceptions were made for me. I expect the same treatment when a different team goes through the same thing even though that was years ago.

That team dropped in the lotto every year, I made a shit load of moves too when i was in my contract year and still didnt make the playoffs IIRC I had like Magic/Wimberg/Erving as my options

If you can't win or have the assets to make moves to win after 3 years of no playoffs you deserve to be fired.
Injuries happen, look at the Spurs amd MJ. Yet they still made it cause they didn't sit on there ass like a lot of CY victims do

just because the players and coach didn't tank doesn't mean they weren't tanking. I'm sure Nerlens Noel, Tony Wroten, MCW (when he was there) and Brett Brown want to win alot of games, maybe go to the playoffs and go onto to win a championship. There's a man that's atleast stopping two of the three from happening. There's alot of definitions for tanking, typically it implies that the GM isn't trying to win. Teams themselves will always try to win. |

Why did you wait until your CY to make moves? I wanted to do a mini rebuild around wimberg and ayinde sprewell, and I was trying to tank for a top 5 pick but every year I went from like 6-9 and then from like 2-5, it was unbelievable. |

Look at spurs that is one of the best run teams ever Tanking is part of sports (all sports), and tanking well is a different strategy and challenge by itself. Over the long run, it's unsustainable for every team to not rebuild. It's like burning down an old, sick forest to plant new trees. |

There hasn't been a East team CY'd for a while. If people can do it over here, you can do it in the west. Can't use injuries or bad luck as an excuse.
I don't fault Super for not trying (remember that picks mess that he left us (aka me) to deal with?), but I mean, end of the day, it didn't work, and that's life.
