What are your short term plans to get this team where you want them ?

With no picks in this year's draft, and having finished at the bottom of the West (and 2nd last overall), how are you going to raise this team to a competitive level?

Wolves - Free Agency is the name of the game. We're going to have some solid cap space this offseason, and I look to take advantage of that. Last season was a disaster, and I'm going to make sure that it doesn't happen again.
Pacers - Like I said above, I'm looking to improve this team through free agency. The cap space that I have allows me to finally make some win now moves. If things don't work out this offseason, I could always begin a rebuild too.

Having taken over a team in a bad situation last season, you get a fresh start in the upcoming season. What are you goals and expectations?

Hopefully things fall the way that I'd like. I'm expecting to be very active on the FA market and make a run towards the playoffs with this team. That's where we'd like to be every year. Obviously, last season was a disaster, and I'm not making any excuses about it. Just gotta change the culture here, and move forward.

Do you plan to move Stackhouse either this offseason or during the season?

Depends. If I get something nice in return, he could be gone. If not, I'll just hold onto him. Not that big of a deal.

After your franchise literally handed Derrick Rose to the Timberwolves, will there be any added spice to the matchups between the two teams ?

Hey LBJ... If you see me post in *red*, it's the "Article Grader" talking - I am responsible for maintaining quality in the articles and Q&A section. As such, I'd like you to do the following: - be clear about who you're responding to, the best way to do this is to quote the question you're answering... - be creative with your answers. Short sentences as an answer (or more so: single word answers) won't be counted as a "countable answer" in regards to the 10-Qs-equals-$50. Unless they're incredibly pithy short sentences... - and a tip: if you ask questions of others, you'll get more questions yourself.
If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me a PM.

Given last season's disappointment, how are you going to turn this franchise around?

Hey Malice, the question by ROTY didn't require much of an answer, in my opinion. I only quote if back to back questions are asked before I can respond, I'll start quoting again then. No worries.
As for your question, I'm hoping that I could get my hands on some talent this offseason. The cap situation allows me to be open minded to adding what ever I can to improve this team. The situation is a heck of a lot better now than it was last season.

Who would you consider to be 'untouchable' on this roster of yours?

I guess you could say Telfair? There's really nobody on the roster at this point that can't move. Having been through a tough situation last year, it pretty much proved my point that no one is untouchable.

I heard the Mavs are trying to contend for a year. What areas are you looking to improve in order to accomplish that?

The big man situation could use a little bit of help, and an extra shooter wouldn't hurt. If I can find a solid presence in the post, I truly believe that this team can be a force in the very tough western conference.

Dallas Mavericks fans headed into the off-season with the optimism that goes with the cap-room you had. Your 3-13 pre-season record was a real slap in the face to them. Do you think the FA class was that poor, or did you target the wrong the players?

Do you think the FA class was that poor, or did you target the wrong the players? Nah, I just think that things take some time to settle down. It wasn't the start that we had imagined, but then again, it was the preseason. The players that we signed fit this organization just fine. Time is needed, and that's all.
