Remember the East is beast talk? Yep all true. Top 4 teams are from the East. Wizards and Pistons owned the top of the chart with a pretty sizable advantage. No shock that the champions were the best team in the league throughout.
Next up is the Team Metrics with Possessions, Offensive Rating, Defensive Rating, True Shooting Percentage, Effective Field Goal Percentage, and Rebounding Percentage listed at the top of the table. The top/bottom three of each category are listed at the bottom of the table.

#1 offense plus #2 defense equals championship. Who would have thought? Rockets with the worst defense in the league coupled with the worst shooting and 2nd worst overall offense. Good luck Mr. Nash.
Last but not least is the pretty chart. A better description is the overall rating for each team. Your offensive team rating is weighed against your defensive team rating. Upper right means you're above average in both.
A pictorial display of all of the points above. Wizards and Pistons set the bar. The Bucks came close and no-one else could sniff the leaders. Same story in the negative column. The Rockets appeared to put the starting lineup from Cheers instead of their actual roster.
I hope you enjoyed this statistical analysis of the league.
