Leading off this edition of Daedametrics is the Power Rankings. Formula is derived simply by calculating the difference between Offensive Rating and Defensive Rating. Higher score the better. More on these formulas later! Team ratings spell out exactly what I expected. Bulls and Clippers are in a class of their own. Lets put it this way: There is a bigger gap between #1 and #3 than between #3 and a non-playoff team. Next up is the Team Metrics with Possessions, Offensive Rating, Defensive Rating, True Shooting Percentage, Effective Field Goal Percentage, and Rebounding Percentage listed at the top of the table. The top/bottom three of each category are listed at the bottom of the table. Worst DEF Rating correction: Raptors (tyfreak) Grizzlies (Brazilian) Magic (Flip) #1 Offense and #2 Defense vs #1 Defense and #2 Offense for the NBA finals. Pistons also look utterly dominant in the futility department. Last but not least is the pretty chart. A better description is the overall rating for each team. Your offensive team rating is weighed against your defensive team rating. Upper right means you're above average in both. A pictorial display of all of the points above. First that the Bulls and Clippers were far and away the top 2 teams this year. The middle is interesting as it contains all of your contenders and teams failing at tanking. At the bottom list you see the Pistons, Pacers, Grizzlies, Magic, and Raptors tanking the good tank. I hope you enjoyed this statistical analysis of the league.

daedalusHey, just a quick QA feedback; I think your pivot table in the "Worst" Category for "Def Rating" needs a tweak
