I started to write a paper for my International Tourism class but then I thought…what the fuck am I doing and decided to write this article instead. The MVP race is an honor that only one man can receive each year, usually a point guard. This award is probably the most prestigious award in the NBADSL league and last year was given to the Great Bob Cousey who is one of my favorite personal draft picks of all time. He has won multiple MVP’s but I would like to note he won his rings in Memphis, not with the raptors.
In the real NBA the MVP is definitely weighted a lot different then in the NBADSL. The NBADSL seems to value stat stuffing a lot more with majority of past MVP being double double machines like Chris Paul, Elfrid Payton, Cousey, Magic Johnson and even some dominant stat stuffing bigs like Deron Davis and Nikola Mirotic. In the real NBA most MVP are the player who is clear cut best in the league and I feel that they value team success and scoring the most. Lebron, Durant both get double doubles time to time but do not average them all season long but the scoring output and the “carrying” of their team is what gets them the award. This year we are seeing a tight MVP award race in which I think supreme scorer James Harden should win. In our league I think the only SF/SG type player to ever win MVP was Melo when he had that ridiculous season leaving Lebron Wiggans and Parker all MVP-less (I think).
This year’s MVP race could go a number of ways. I will rank it as if this was the real NBA MVP race so I will not heavily favor point guards. So there is a good chance I am wrong.
1. Wilt Chamberlain- If this guy was not atop the list there would be a problem. His team is clearly the best team in the league with a crazy 45-5 record. Wilt is currently 8th in the league in PPG with 25.5 and leads the league in rebounding with 14.7 and 5th in Blocks with 3.6 per game. What more could you ask from Wilt? The team is winning games and he is playing a huge part while fucking plenty of bitches. There are a few people who can compete with him but cmon he is killing it and would be my vote for MVP
2. Earl Monroe- After being absolutely cheated from the MVP last year Earl has his sights set on the MVP once again. He is currently leading the league in scoring and getting 7.2 dimes per game. The Lakers currently are tied for the 4th best record in the NBADSL with Earl the Pearl the clear leader and catalyst for success on the team. To better his chances I think he needs to get his APG up a little bit just to please the stat stuffing lovers but the voters need to keep in mind that the team has Mullin and Larry Bird who are also exceptionally good passers which takes away from Earl’s need to set it all up.
3. Charlie Scott- Last year he got his ring so people are finally starting to show him love. He is on one of the best teams in the league and he really does it all. Some may argue that Drob is the true MVP on that team but I like what Scott is doing since no one in his positon does it. Scott is a five tool player who really does it all. He is scoring 21.2 points per game, getting 8.3 rebounds a game, 3.7 assists and here is where it gets interesting he is 10th in the league in steals per game with 2.2 per game but also tied for 8th in the league for blocks with 3.1 per game at the SF position. He is generating so many chances for his team with that steal/block output it is ridiculous. The guy is also shooting 44% from deep. If it was not for there only being so many shots in a game Scott could probably put up 25 a game easy.
4.Scottie Pippen- The Raptors have a lot of good players, last years MVP and even Reggie Miller who is shooting nearly 50% from deep but you really have to look at Pippen as the MVP candidate. He is third in the league in scoring with 29.3 ppg 7.4 rebounds and 6th in the league in steals with 2.4. Pippen is in general one of the best defenders in the league and is third in scoring so its safe to say hes a top 3 two way player in the league. The raptors have a good record and much of this could be attributed to the success of Pippen.
Looks like Pippen topped Jordan since he has a bigger dick. *** see #2 on this article www.news.com.au/sport/sports-life/michael-jordan-stories-that-prove-hes-not-very-nice/story-fno61i58-1227034067426
5. Michael Jordan- Will he win a ring? Will he win an MVP? He could and this year I think he is a candidate for MVP. The Clippers are tied or the 4th best record in the league with MJ scoring 29.8 PPG. He is also boarding and passing efficiently but we all know scoring is where MJ finds his cup of tea. The MJ led Clippers are looking to win their first ring and they have the right guy to do it.
