I imagine you have Day 100's game against the Grizzlies circled multiple times. What other games during the run up to the playoffs are you placing the biggest emphasis on? 30. You're ABSOLUTELY 100% correct. That game along with day 112 @ Utah will be our biggest games to close out the season. With the division race so right amongst all 3 teams those games can be the difference between a #1 seed and home court throughout or a #4 seed and only having home court in 1 round.

The keys to this matchup will be out ability to score at an efficient rate, with how strong and potent the Grizzlies are offensively, you can't expect to score in the 90s or under and win the game. Our biggest concern revolves around that and our inability in recent history to slow down Kobe Bryant & the pips. Will be an interesting series that we'll need to bring our best effort for

Commiserations on the Finals loss. I know exactly how you must be feeling.
With that in mind, what changes will you be looking to implement this off-season?

As of now, there aren't any obvious changes we plan on making. We lose Wally Szczerbiak to Free Agency but we expect Michael Beasleyro fill in for him right away. We lose Jason Williams as well and will be targeting him as well as other PG's in Free Agency to fill in the back up position. Another move we'd like to make is to pick up a later pick in the draft.

Do you consider your team to be title favorites, or just contenders?

Do you consider your team to be title favorites, or just contenders? 33. The season is still a long ways away and a lot can change from now until then but I'd say we're STRONG favorites to come out of the West as of now. I don't really pay much attention to the other conference as we have to take care of things from within first. With that said I believe we will be much stronger this up coming season with the continued development of our young players and the added experience. A championship will be the expectation and anything else will be a disappointment

If you do make the finals, which team would you not want to face?

If you do make the finals, which team would you not want to face? 34. That's a hard question to answer with it still being so early into the season. With that said, I'll have to say the Chicago Bulls. They're the most talented roster in the Eastern Conference and they're also the defending champs. I wouldn't say I don't want to face them as you'll have to beat a lot of good teams to make it to the finals and at that point in can go either way. Also with then beating us in 5 last year to win it there's a sense of revenge we'd like to get. I wouldn't mind meeting them in the Finals but I think that'd be our toughest matchup.

Tim Duncan hits free agency after this year. Will you be making moves to retain his services?

Do you think any changes need to be made with your team moving forward (trades, tactics, free agents etc.) or are you satisfied with your team heading into the end of the season?

Tim Duncan hits free agency after this year. Will you be making moves to retain his services? 35. As of now nothing is set in stone. We'd love to bring Tim Duncan back as he's been nothing short of excellent for our franchise. At the end of the day however money talks. Bringing him back will be a priority but it'll have to be at a contract that makes sense got us moving forward.

We don't feel the need to make any changes at the moment. It at the same time they're always welcome. We have a 10 deep rotation that has done an excellent job all season with everyone playing their role. If the right opportunity presents itself we wouldn't oppose to make changes but as is this is a championship caliber and probably championship favorite roster.

The trade of Rudy Gay came out of no where. Was getting a young big man the plan for this offseason or was it what the organization believed was the best offer they would get?

The trade of Rudy Gay came out of no where. Was getting a young big man the plan for this offseason or was it what the organization believed was the best offer they would get? 37. This was a classic case of the organization deciding to cut ties with a player. Obviously Rudy Gay is a good player an we're more than appreciative for all that he's done for us during his time in the Minnesota Timberwolves organization but it was time to move on. We had him valued at around 8-10 million per year and with the offer sheet he signed with the Rockets we immediately begin taking offers for him. On the flip side Ekpe Udoh is a defensive first big that we value highly and can hopefully develop into a good player for us down the road

The injury to Brandon Roy ruined what was an expected return to the Finals. Take us through your feelings when it happened... 38. That was a truly heartbreaking experience. That was our best roster & chance to win a championship to date. Although making the Finald is never easy I feel that our road there with Brandon Roy healthy wouldn't have been much more then a cake walk. We played extremely well and consistent all-season and to lose Roy at that point was gut wrenching knowing we lost all hope at that point of winning a ring. We're going through a retool of the roster this off-season but expect the Timberwolves to win a championship sooner rather then later

After losing tim duncan do you feel that Marc is 100% ready to step in and fill the shoes of one of the best players of all time?
Also Rumors are swirling around about a uniting of the Gasol Brothers any truth to this?

After losing tim duncan do you feel that Marc is 100% ready to step in and fill the shoes of one of the best players of all time? 39. YES, we believe Marc Gasol is more then capable of stepping in for Tim Duncan. He has gotten plenty of chances to start due to injury over the years and has delivered each time. Had Duncan not retired, we already had a deal in place to ship him off and give Marc Gasol the starting position. He also is coming up on a contract year to expect him to deliver big and play at a high level.

Also Rumors are swirling around about a uniting of the Gasol Brothers any truth to this? 40. Although talks are preliminary, like the saying goes "when there's smoke, there's fire." It has not yet been confirmed if the brothers would be reuniting in Memphis or in Minnesota but the two teams have been involved in trade talks.

Please explain the franchise's decision to let go of Rudy Gay after he was drafted with much fan-fare and hype along with Brandon Roy. Was the franchise not happy with Gay's development, and whose fault do you think it is?

Maybe we had him rated too highly coming out of college when we drafted him #3 overall and traded Luol Deng for him. Obviously we thought he'd be better at this point but that doesn't knock all the things he did for our organization. He had 4 years with the team and was a part of some great teams. Kudos to him and there aren't any hard feelings on either side

Your team hasn't missed a beat even after losing some key players in the offseason. What has allowed your team to be so consistent on the floor? 42. Although we lost some very key players, we still put plenty of talent out on the floor each game. It all starts with Elton Brand who has been the focal point of this team for the last couple years and brings consistency day in & day out. Next we have Brandon Roy who has upped his game up another level this season and is one of the top wings in the league. After that you have Derrick Rose who although developing is one of the top point guards. We aim to surround these guys with players that will play a role with this team and believe this is once again another well put together roster.

After a lackluster Preseason, the team had a much better start to the season. What changed? 43. Nothing really changed at all. We used a full 12 man rotation in the pre-season and used that to experiment. The players were told to play loose and we moved pieces around just to check out the new roster a bit. Once the season hit all we did was expand the roles of our key players and watched as the results rolled in. We've never taken pre-season too seriously but used it moreso as an experimental tool.

Is Brandon Roy a player that you'll try to keep for the longest time possible? Or will he be on the move a few years into the future?
