The Sonics came damn close to making the WCF. How happy are you with this season, now that's done 'n dusted?
I'm happy with the season that we had, however I'm not content with the way it finished. We were 'soooo close' to advancing, and we could've been in a better position had we've defended our home court games. From a personal perspective, I wasn't too happy with the way I played in the series. Too many inefficient games on my part.
I'll probably get over it and look at the season just past more fondly, however the wounds are still too raw to really analyse what we had accomplished for a young side.

KD, With the upcoming training camp what area(s) are you most focused on improving?
Main focus for me will be ball handling and rebounding. Gotta get stronger in those areas if I want to be a complete player.

The organisation has expressed a desire for me to round out my game so that I could be more effective on the court. Things such as ball handling as well as rebounding have been the main focal points that I need to improve in (as well as the other areas of scoring and so on)

Have you heard of any areas the team's looking to upgrade this season personnel-wise?
I've been hearing whispers that the team is looking for improvement from our bench mob. We recently dealt Kleiza and Amir for Rip Hamilton and we just nabbed Hedo Turkoglu to help me on the wings as well. It seems as though the F/O are looking to strengthen our depth through bringing in some veterans to balance out our experience.

It's not really a matter of hope, more so a matter of if I'm willing to up my game to a level that would result in success. Hoping doesn't get you anywhere unless you're willing to put in work to be the best. I sure as hell won't be sitting around 'hoping' for a role increase, no. I'll be working my ass off to grab that increased role with both hands.

Are you concerned that having Chris Bosh and now Allen Iverson on the roster are stealing your "Thunder" so to speak?

In an ideal world, yes, we could make it. However I'm a realist, and I believe the WCF would be a pass mark for our squad. Anything else beyond that is a bonus.

The ROTY snubbing still definitely burns deep down inside of me, considering I had a very comparable season to the eventual winner in Jeff Green, whilst also playing on a better team record-wise. However what's done is done man, I'll just use it as motivation moving forward.
And nah man, I'm not concerned with AI or CB4 stealing the limelight or thunder. If anything it's a blessing in disguise as they'll take the media attention away from me, which'll enable me to just... do my job, y'know.

AI and B-Diddy arriving in Seattle is okay with me. Coach recently told me that I'd be the first option in the offence, and that we'd be playing in an outside-orientated offence. I'm excited to see what the two veterans can do to help us this season.

Without a doubt I'm very disappointed in how the season has panned out for us. We had high expectations but with injury and defensive deficiencies in our game, we were just unable to replicate our impressive season from the season before. Instead of taking one step forwards, we took two steps back...

We need to bring in some talent either from the draft (which is kinda hard with no 1st round picks, but we got two 2nd rounders) or from Free Agency. We need to continue to improve on all defensive aspects of our game, and we need to continue to improve overall, but mainly defence.
