Hi y'all!
Welcome to my very own 'AMA' blog! I've always wanted to be more interactive and communicable with the fans of the NBA, as well as the hardcore fans of the Seattle area! My boy Chris Bosh has done something similar to this for the past few years, and he insisted on me doing the same!
Feel free to ask me anything 'AMA'!!! I look forward to conversing with y'all!
Cheers,
Kevin Wayne Durant.

Who is your biggest rival for Rookie of the year? Hello there Nas (if I can call you that!),
I would consider my biggest rival/s to be Jeff Green, Joakim Noah, Al Horford and Greg Oden. I believe the aforementioned quartet are some of the most talented individuals in this draft, but in terms of rivalry for the coveted ROTY honours, I would say Green is my biggest rival. His numbers are similar to mine and I wouldn't be surprised if he took it out.

How would you respond to people who have you as replacing Chris Bosh as "face-of-the-franchise"?

How would you respond to people who have you as replacing Chris Bosh as "face-of-the-franchise"? Hello there my man malice!
I'd respond to those with a smile and a wave. Although it is WAY to premature to discuss whether or not I'll replace Bosh as the franchise face, I'll still take that on board as a compliment. If I'm being honest, I reckon we can BOTH be the faces of our franchise. I, as well as Chris, are trying to build up a solid rapport going forward. We both love this franchise and we envisage ourselves as leaders going forward.
Cheers for the question.

How has it being playing with a pretty good mentor in Caron Butler? Has he helped you adjust to the league at the wing position?

It's been great being able to play alongside an elite player like Caron. He's been very helpful towards me and I'm grateful to have such a great mentor to show me the ropes in the HASL. He's taught me a few nifty tricks to succeed at an elite level and I can't thank him enough really.
Cheers for the question man.

What is your main area for improvement to take your game to the next level ? Sup ROTY (hopefully I'll win ROTY...)
The main focus area I need to improve upon to get my game 'to the next level' would be to attack the rim more and get to the foul line. I'm only averaging a bit over two and a half trips to the charity stripe when I should be going there more. Coach says my outside game is very well polished, but he wants me to utilise my size and length to slice through the opposition's defensive structures.
Hope that answers your question dawg.

Completely honest response: how far do you think the Sonics can go in the playoffs? Sup again mal,
I wholeheartedly believe that we can push it to the Western Conference Semi's when we're on song. We're still a few pegs away from really competing in the West.
Cheers for the question.

Would you mind swapping place with Andrew Bynum, to lead the Pistons team? Hey there velvet,
To be honest, no, I wouldn't want to swap places with Biggie Bynum and move to Detroit. Seattle is literally a stones-throw away from my native D.C., so I honestly wouldn't want to shut up shop and move across the nation. I love Seattle and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Cheers for the question.

Durant: why isn't your team chucking? Sup SRG,
My team doesn't adhere or go by the theory that 'chuck wins you games'. We look for the best shots on the court before hoisting them up. We pride ourselves on effective FG%, as we sit in the top six for said category.
Cheers for the question

My attempts at humour can sometimes come across as lame and or strange. SRG understand this.
Sorry for any confusion.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to the standings at the moment. It's a mystery how we're still the 2nd seed in the West (it's been two sims in a row that this has occurred) even though our record is just barely above .500. It's nice and all, but I reckon we all should keep a lid on it, and no, I wouldn't consider it a breakout.
Cheers for the question.

Heading into the playoffs with a favorable matchup versus the Warriors, what are your expectations ? Hello ROTY,
As a team, we're quietly confident heading into the series. We know that the series will be tough fought and that the Warriors will come out hard. They're lead very well by Kidd, Magloire and Murphy, but we feel as though we have enough talent and skill to nullify their key players.
On a personal note, I'm expecting a very hard fought battle with Battier. He's an elite defender so I'll have to step my game up if I want to contribute to us hopefully winning.
Cheers for the question.

As a bright young scorer, who would you say the top ten guys at shutting you down defensively be? Hi commish!
That's a really tough question to answer, because there's plenty of defenders that have given me trouble so far this season. I guess one that comes to mind is Josh Smith, the former Sonic who is now with Chi-Town.
However I don't think I can really label the top ten defenders against me. It's just too hard a task considering I've had my fair share of stoppers stop me this season... Sorry for not delivering upon your request.

I'd love to win a ring with Seattle one day. It's a tad hard to put a timetable on when I think that'll happen, but maybe within the next five season? I dunno...
Cheers for the question.

Kevin,
Are you happy sharing the ball with your talented teammates, or are you more looking forward to seeking more money and having your "own" team?

Kevin, Are you happy sharing the ball with your talented teammates, or are you more looking forward to seeking more money and having your "own" team? Hi shorty!
I'm more than happy with sharing the ball around. Basketball is a TEAM sport, and if I want to have success in the league, I gotta put away any selfish desires and put the team first. Individual success comes later on as a result of team cohesion and winning.
Cheers for the question.
