With the style of play in the league changing, any plans to adopt the "chuck" method ? Absolutely not. Here in Chicago we favor the old school approach with a focus on fundamentals. "Playoff basketball" if you will. We will play excellent defense, limit turnovers, and attack the basket all game long. If we are not getting to the line more than our opponents then the officials will need a review.

As a perennial contender, do you have any suggestions for managers whose franchises are somewhat struggling? Absolutely. I'm an open book when it comes to stuff like this: #1: Never put yourself in a position to desperately need ANYTHING. Desperation leads to making poor decisions which could set your franchise back years. #2: Identify a plan and pursue it. It took me until this year to do it but I FINALLY have the elite defense with a full inside focus team I have been building from the onset of the league. #3: Utilize Preseason to its fullest. Experiment with DCs and try things you normally wouldn't (press/trap/pace) you never know when a mid-season DC change could save your season. Last of all. If you need a second opinion use the shoutbox/PM. There are a TON of GMs very willing to help out.

Is this the season where everything comes together for the Bulls and you win the 'chip? We certainly have been building towards this year. We have looked extremely good in both preseasons and the addition of Luol Deng has looked to be a godsend. The season is long and my expectations remain the same: Improvement. We were the #3 seed last year (tied for 2nd) so we'll be hunting for the outright 2nd or 1st seed this season with a deep playoff run. I love the roster that I've put together here in Chicago.

Will the success of you frontcourt of Howard/Stoudemire/Smith be the reason you guys make a deep run this year? Honestly I wouldn't peg it solely on those three. Jay Williams will need to be extremely effective as a distributor and defender, as he was in preseason, for this team to hit its full potential. Deng is the lockdown defender on the wing that I hope will limit the bleeding from superstars in our conference. Josh Smith is a mismatch on the wing. While not a scoring option his elite defense and rebounding (for the position) and absolutely key. Stoudemire is the #1 option and dominant scorer in the bunch. Dwight has finally developed an inside game and will look to enforce his will in the paint. To circle back those three are extremely key and will be three of the five reasons for a deep run

With Josh Smith and Luon Deng on the roster both as SFs, how do you make it work? Deng will be our starting Shooting Guard. His length and quality defense will provide give us the lockdown defender we have SORELY lacked at the position over the years. I would certainly look for us to switch things up for certain match-ups where having Luol at SF would work to an advantage. Given the results of preseason I am highly encouraged by the current arrangement.

Your roster is owed in excess of the hard cap next season, that's without even considering the two first rounders you have. With your claim of meticulous planning, and I quote:

Can we expect some interesting names on the waiver wire this year?

Josh Smith didn't take any steps towards solving his offensive woes this pre-season, any disappointment from this ?

I actually completed a trade during preseason just to fix the issue you raised. My owed is below the hard cap thanks to moving almost 5 million in '10 salary. As far as waivers that would be a last resort. I don't foresee myself getting to the point of needing to use waivers to quickly clear cap. It would be more likely to see "interesting names" in a completed trade than on waivers. My final roster for the season is never known, even to me, until the trade deadline passes Expect me to make moves especially churning the bottom of my roster.

Josh Smith didn't take any steps towards solving his offensive woes this pre-season, any disappointment from this ? Certainly although to his credit his offensive touches are going to be very limited this season. With Amare, Dwight, and Deng taking the three scoring options and Jay Williams running the offense he's literally the least utilized piece of the offense. That being said his defensive and work on the glass has been excellent.

How do you feel about no Bulls in the AS game? Even with Amare's hot play and the #1 record, Amare was passed over by Dirk and KG in the AS game.

The Bulls are the #1 seed in the East. It's altogether possible that my Pacers end up facing them in rd 1 (if we can build a bit on the end of the last sim). Do they present any particular challenges for the Bulls, and would they be a difficult first up match-up?

Who do you feel is the most valuable and irreplaceable player on your team ? Amare's performances certainly have been irreplaceable this season. Long-term Dwight Howard is the cornerstone of the franchise and is turning into a dominant player.

Do they present any particular challenges for the Bulls, and would they be a difficult first up match-up? Pacers are a tough challenge due to the talent they have both inside and out. I also see them as a more likely higher seed than #7 or #8 so in all likelihood we would not meet in the first round.

Your team went on a recent 5 game losing streak, any concerns or will this be ironed out by playoff time ?

I overreacted to a couple close losses and ended up making the problem much worse. It did however give me insight into what I believe is the best DC for this team. I am confident the issues will be fully ironed out for the playoffs. (2-1 under the new DC)

With the Bulls facing a red hot Cavs team with an angry Lebron James, please tell us what are the main keys for you to win the series, and what are some of the main concerns.

With the Bulls facing a red hot Cavs team with an angry Lebron James, please tell us what are the main keys for you to win the series, and what are some of the main concerns. Missed this pre-sim. My answer would have been, and still is, playing elite defense. If Lebron scores 30+ the Cavs have enough other weapons to win those types of game 99% of the time. Provided J-Smoove and Deng (depending on where LBJ is played) can keep him from being a super efficient monster I'm confident we can win this match-up. Non-LBJ keys: Rebounding and Turnovers vs Opponent Turnovers. If we win both of those battles as we are capable I really like our chances.

Congratulations on the championship. Will we be seeing a significantly different Chicago next season, or are you pressing for a repeat?

With Josh Smith being shopped around, is it safe to say he's the least valued of the starters by the organization ?
