SAR has been rumoured to be outraged at his new role so far this season, which has resulted in limited minutes for the veteran. Any reason why he's not playing his usual role as starter this season?

Depth. Simply, he's not the best small forward on the roster these days. Additions of Shane Battier (who has since moved on to the Warriors), and Wilson Chandler simply mean that the minutes aren't there. He's still getting significant time on the court, but not what he once was. 1

What are your overall thoughts of the team at the midway point of the season? Given your ranking in 2nd place and the teams quality mark of PPG vs OPPG what spots are you looking for improvement in during the second half and beyond?

Given your ranking in 2nd place and the teams quality mark of PPG vs OPPG what spots are you looking for improvement in during the second half and beyond? Front court defense. I think that's key. At Indiana, we want to have a front court that protects the rim, and is a fearsome unit defensively. We like what Tyson Chandler brings to the table in that capacity, and the recent addition of Mouhamed Sene only adds to that. Additionally, it completes the move for Wilson Chandler to SF, a position we feel he's more suited to play. Our backcourt defense is excellent. Now... we just gotta score buckets.

you mentioned frontcourt defense as a area of improvement do you see Curry's defense or lack there of as something that's keeping you from overcoming the championship hurdle?

Curry's D is ... at best, suspect. And I think that's been the major reason as to why we've fallen short. He's been a tropper for us, but Tyson Chandler brings a much tougher outlook there, and paired with Mouhamed Sene - we now have two guys who are going to make it very nasty in the interior. Couple that with Tony and Ron in the backcourt and it's a nice set up. I think the pieces are there... now it's up to seeing if the coaching can be. 3

Do you really feel that Sene will provide a boost to the championship aspirations?

Do you really feel that Sene will provide a boost to the championship aspirations? I do. Prior to Sene, I had Viktor Sanikidze holding down the position, along with Wilson Chandler - who quite frankly I think was playing out of position. Not to belittle their efforts, but I think that Mouhamed brings an edge to the position... a nastiness that is going to be quite good alongside Tyson Chandler. Whilst moving Wilson to the 3 makes us defensively a little weaker there (as compared to Shane Battier), we definitely improve offensively. And from 1 through to 5, we have good-to-elite defenders - something I couldn't say at the beginning of the season. 4

Will this Big 3 of Parker, Artest and KG push you one step closer towards that elusive championship?

How excited is Tony Parker and Ron Artest that "The Big Ticket" is coming to town? Ron & Tony found out about it prior to the announcement, and both were unanimous in their desire to play alongside Kevin Garnett. Tony was very excited, and Ron? Well... he was positively giddy. 6

any plans on making a follow up deal after that KG deal or is this roster set for the season?

any plans on making a follow up deal after that KG deal or is this roster set for the season? I think we're set. It's one helluva roster, and any problems encountered have to be laid at the feet of the coach, and not the players. But who knows? If something amazing crops up again (like the KG deal)... then changes could happen. Never say never. 7

That's a pretty damn sweet core, and Chandler/Prince are no slouches either. The pieces are there, now it's just up to finding the right playbook for them to maximize what they can do. We have two seasons, the clock's ticking. 8

Your team has given up over 120 points 4 times since adding KG, why the defensive struggles ?

Your team has given up over 120 points 4 times since adding KG, why the defensive struggles ? Completely DC. Playing at a very fast pace, points are going to happen - but we have to maximize our opportunities with the personnel we have. I don't think KG's suited to play "very fast", and adjustments have been made. It might take some work, but we'll get there. 9

Who is the most valuable player to the Pacers success? Tony Parker, as he controls the team's tempo. KG appears to be able to get his, even in losses. But TP is our engine, our distributor... and we need him to have an accurate read on the tempo of what we're doing. Without that, we are up that proverbial creek. 10

If he were on a team with fewer options, I believe he'd get better than 25 points per. And even now, I'd guess he's one of the top 3 scoring PGs in the league. And his defense is underrated. 11

Assuming that you get past the Bobcats, you'll be faced against a Bulls team that plays a similar mold of basketball as yours. In fact, they have the exact same record as you. What will be the keys to this series?

What will be the keys to this series? I think there are many permutations and combinations in this series... such as *whose bigs perform the best*, and *who can sustain a defensive effort the longest*... but I'm hoping that the key to this will be HCA. 12

As the Eastern Conference's #2 seed, what are your expectations heading into the playoffs ? Hmmm... well, I think we match-up well against the other top teams in the East. I believe that the team we've assembled is a championship caliber roster. That said, for some inexplicable reason, we have had some difficulties of late: including back-to-back losses against our round 1 opponent. If we can get the DC straight, and get past the Bobcats - there's no reason we can't make the Finals. From there? It's anyone's guess. 13

Is there a certain team you don't want to face a team in the first round? In the playoffs? Missed this one earlier, but it's probably an opportune time to answer it! Well, if I'm being completely honest: probably the team we face in the first round. Only a few games ago, we had incomprehensible back-to-back losses against the Hornets Bobcats. At home. Having looked through the boxscore, I think I know what the issue was - and I *think* I've corrected it. I guess we'll know this time tomorrow. 14

After two exhausting seven games series in the playoffs what is your outlook in the upcoming series against the Heat? Do you see another seven game series or does one of the teams in this match-up have a significant edge?
