One of the most important things that keep interest from gms in a league is trade activity. There have been some seasons where there were a few trades and they weren’t even that impactful. But for some odd reason yesterday starting at 8pm eastern time the sim gods shined down light upon our league and made a lot of trades happen, so many so that shorty may still be in a inputting induced coma. SO many that it crashed the proboards so we could not sim (lets pretend this is what happened).
Just to get you pumped if you were living under a rock yesterday here are some players who moved over the past 24 hours.
QI
Larry Bird
Zach Brown
Terry Teagle
World Be Free
Jerry West
Elvin Hayes
Alonzo Raines
Marques Johnson
Tree Rollins
Orlando Woolridge
The first deal to happen could be looked at as the first domino to fall in a sense. The Braziliandude was torn between several trades to better his team and try and compete for a championship over the next few seasons with the MJ stipulation. Although I did not love any of the players I got in the Hornets deal I did realize that moving QI and his promising future for an upgrade at Center in Zach Brown, A suitable Sg in teagle and a prospect at point guard in Xavier Simpson would maybe not make my team as sexy, but definitely better. From Itnas’s perspective he got rid of Teagle’s contract which, although he was producing well now, could have just been a fluke that would have ruined him long term. He also was able to move Zach Brown who seemed promising but possibly a little too expensive for his production. His big prize was being able to pair a young Qi with Kobe. Giving him the best Asian duo in the league and a lot of cap moving forward. If itnas can continue to fall in love with these guys and they pan out, paired with a proper two year tank and a few good FA signings his team will have a bright future. The consensus is that Itnas gave up too much for QI but at the end of the day he really wanted him and also wanted to tank and clear cap so he was able to do all of that rather then letting me ship QI else where.
Final trade:
Hornets send- Zach Brown, Teagle, Xavior Simspon, Cunningham , Cash, Pacers first
Grizzlies send- QI, Perry Jones

The next deal for me kind of came out of no where with no negotiations. I was getting ready to post the deal with itnas and I got a +1 PM in my inbox. The Jazz decided they wanted to get younger and tank so they responded to my trade block offer from a few day ago and send me a player who was holding back their tank in Marques Johnson for Kellog and Stiphonovic. This trade could have been bigger for me if the next trade did not follow since the second MJ could have been a decent starter at SF. For the Jazz this was a clear move to take a chance on former 6 pick Kellog and score less so he can have a shot at Jazz great Stockton or the dream himself.
Final Trade:
Jazz Send- MJ
Griz Send- Kellog, Stiphonovic

My friend Danny Dias was woke up Monday morning with a huge desire to trade. After not getting the deal he wanted from me after hours of negotiating for Larry Legend I received a PM from him after I made my deal with Itnas. Danny explained he wanted a young big man along with Trae who he liked as a PG prospect and some picks for bird and was not too uspet about not getting QI. This gave me a huge erection because now I could have my cake and eat it too by getting some depth and somehow Bird. It was unclear to me why the Bucks wanted Trae so bad but his next move made that more apparent.
Final trade:
Grizzlies Send- Trae Young, Zach Brown, Billy Cunningham, sixer first, griz first
Bucks send- Larry Bird

Only a few seconds after this trade happened, the move I felt that was most impactful on the playoff race was made. When I said the bucks were ready to deal I meant it. He moved World Be Free for a haul of youth from the pacers. None of these guys from the pacers are guaranteed but it looks like a good haul for a 33 year old PG who I was contemplating on trying to get over Bird. I feel this will be most impactful because the pacers are so deep and have Kaj in the paint, Reggie Lewis to light up the scoreboard and were missing a good PG. Even with an average PG they could have been really good but they got WBF who can do it all. He may be old and expiring but he is one of the most impacting players in the SL currently because of his scoring ability and high assist rate.
Final Trade:
Pacers Send- Mitchell, Woolridge, Ulis, Imbro, 2035 first
Bucks Send – World Be Free

Will the bucks stop there? No, of course not. And the worst part is they delt with the devil. We all thought after singing Wilt the Magic could not get better but of course they do by getting a 30 point per game scorer. They gave up a decent amount for him but I do not understand why bucks gave a future pick. The prize in this trade for the bucks and probably why this was a necessity for his tank is that he got the valuable wovles pick and his own future pick back. Albert king looks decent but I do not think he will be in the bucks plan long term. Shorty has somehow upgraded his team to the point where Wiggins is coming off the fucking bench. I guess we will see how this turns out in the playoffs. Only shorty can deal for a top scorer in the league and get two picks. One of which is potential bucks CY pick
Final Trade:
Bucks Send- Raines, Vanos, 2035 bucks first, 2035 pacer first
Magic Send- Albert King, Myles Turner, Current Wolves first, next year bucks first

Now that Danny Dias has finally gone to sleep after a long day of trading the Grizzlies GM made a phone call to his good friend Blue. After moving Zach Brown to the Bucks Grizzlies fans were left in confusion of who would start at center. Kemp does not hold up well at center and even though a small line up of Kemp Bird Jordan Teagle Simpson could be serviceable it would not be good enough. The Grizzlies heard rumors of Tree being on the block and the Celtics needing a nice SG so I put that through by adding a pick allowing the Celtics to move Ayton to C and start Baily at PF and have a comparable SG.
Final Trade:
Grizzlies Send- Teagle, Darwin Cook, Pacers pick, Future Memphis pick, 200 cash
Celtics Send- Tree Rollins, Salary

Later that night nyybaseball stumbled home from a bar somewhere in NYC after spitting on the ground after seeing Arod’s apology letter. He saw all these trades and said “ fuck I need to do something, not going to sit back and let the Griz take the west” He figured the best way to take the west was by getting Mr. West himself. The Suns were working low key to gain youth for Jerry West and got a good haul in a deal that was good for both teams.
Final Trade:
Suns Send- Jerry West
Clippers Send- Elvin Hayes (former first pick/ROTY), Rondae Jefferson, Gale, 200 cash
nbadsl.proboards.com/thread/5124/clips-suns
***interesting fact is that Pop was able to now trade MJ for the first and third pick in one draft since he got West as part of the MJ deal.
The last trade to be posted before this article was done was a lateral move made between the Nets and the Grizzlies. One paint protector for another. The Griz needed cash while the nets needed cap relief so they were a perfect pair for this move.
Final Deal:
Nets Send- Azubuke, 500 cash
Grizzlies send- Tree Rollins and a bunch of shit salary guys
nbadsl.proboards.com/thread/5126/nets-griz
Instead of making the poll for grade I will post it for which trade will have the impact on playoffs. Please post below a grade +5 +4 +3 +2 +1
