I'm fucking done with this, copying and pasting's so shit on this site so just gonna post the answers as is. Been spending way to long on this and really tried to make this both insightful and funny, but I have lost patients with this
Kings
1: how satisfied/unsatisfied were you with last seasons playoffs?
Me personally, i was completely satisfied. We were we should have been and playing well until my starting PG went down with a injury that sidelined him for the remainder of the post season. Thon proved why he's the premier PF in the league. Just wished we had more depth at PG.
2: with the season starting soon, give us an update on how your team is doing and how well you think your team will be this season.
Well to be frank, we're gonna miss our stud in the middle Moses! Completely my fault for not offering him $20m per. We're gonna rely on Thon & Havlicek heavily this season to provide scoring and defense. I thought TC would be a little kinder, but Barros, Hodges and my 1st rd pick Hinson didn't stun with their development. I'll have to work some DC magic to win 41 games, but that's the part of the game i like the most.
3: Most teams should have a good reliable big or two by now if not hoping for one in upcoming drafts, how crucial is perimeter play in this league to you?
Without above avg perimeter d, you better have quality post defenders. I was fortunate to have 2 All-Lg defenders in Moses & Thon for the past 6 seasons or so. Now we just have the reigning DPOTY(Thon) and a bunch of meh defenders. I believe Perimeter be overcome with dominant interior play and avg wings trapping a lot.
4: With a declining soft cap/hard cap, how do you see this shaping the league?
No different to me. As long we are all on the same playing field, let the games begin. You have to manage the salary cap either way, but i guess now big ticket players are more likely to be moved now because teams are gonna have to keep their prized youngins after their rookie deals are up. For those that like to trade a lot, this is their heaven!
5: Who are your biggest risers this season?
One looks like the Pacers. Bergler has done a really nice job getting a solid core of youngins to lead this team on a nice run. The big piece being Kareem of course, but i like Thompson and Woolridge. If one of his PGs can develop, either Crawford, Ulis or Taylor, the Pacers shaould make some noise. Another is the Bulls. The pieces are there imo, now it's time for bloop to put in the monster DC to get the most out of Robinson, Nance, Scott and Walker(Jalen Rose's daddy). I guess there are a couple more, but these are my bets.
6: Who do you think had the most lackluster offseason?
Has to be the Kings. Losing Moses, drafting Hinson, Not getting any significant upgrades at PG, SG will relegate us to borderline lotto territory(hmmm, that might not be a bad idea!?) Depending on our start, i might go FULL RETARD and trade Thon & Havlicek to tank and try the rebuild route.
7: Who do you think will be in the finals this postseason and who wins it all?
Ha, i should say the Magic, but i got a strange feeling that GM in LA is gonna be the champs this season. Getbeard is very good builder of contenders/champs and it looks like he's back. From the East, I think the Raptors will dethrone the Magic and represent in the Finals, where they'll lose to the Lakers.
8: there's still some nice drafts coming up, is there any player not currently in the league that you would want to draft maybe in this years draft/future season(s)
There's only one player i wanna have/see in this league...."The Answer" "AI" Allen Iverson!
I'm from Philly, what can i say! He's the best pound for pound player i've ever seen and i've seen a lot.
9: Will the Nets make it through CY?
Yes indeed, with a lineup of Udoka, Barkley, Wiggins, Johnson&Johnson, i don't see why not. I'd love to have that squad. They do need more front court depth to really make it happen. You know in this league, INJURIES KILL! hahahahaha
10: Did you answer these questions truthfully? Or did you answer these questions so you won't get fined?
For base and shorty you have both been in this league and the previous league for awhile now, what do you have to say about the person you faced in the finals last season?
Well, i've always thought short to be the most knowledgeable GM and he's done only one thing to enhance that thought, he became a simmer...LOL. If we were healthy with the one player i needed to keep our turnovers in check(Barros), i think we could've force a game 7...lol. This RIGGED ass league!
Celtics
1: how satisfied/unsatisfied were you with last seasons playoffs?
Pretty unsatisfied. Was definitely happy I beat the CY, but 3rd seed and losing to the 6th seed Hawks was definitely upsetting. Thought I had a pretty good shot but not being able to stop Issel the Missile killed me.
2: with the season starting soon, give us an update on how your team is doing and how well you think your team will be this season.
Was able to bring back most of my team from last season so I feel pretty good. Magic are in tank mode so that gets rid of a contender and I feel like I have a legitimate shot at the 1 seed.
3: Most teams should have a good reliable big or two by now if not hoping for one in upcoming drafts, how crucial is perimeter play in this league to you?
The league has always been dominated by perimeter players. Kane, Cousy, Rose, Newman, King, Mudiay just to name a few. I don't think that perimeter players will be any more crucial than they already are. Big men take a long time to develop, and it's pretty obvious that you can't win with weak perimeter play. Teams need either one of a star PG or SG or they won't get anywhere, whereas one can get by with role playing bigs.
4: With a declining soft cap/hard cap, how do you see this shaping the league?
It's gonna be tough, however doable. I'm probably in one of the worst cap situations but when I suggested to gradually decline the SC during CBA negotiations, I was aware of my cap situation. Definitely think it's a plus but it'll hurt teams that have players who were signed with max deals based on a rasied SC but other than that I don't see it being a huge decrepancy.
5: Who are your biggest risers this season?
Jelani on the Warriors looks like an absolute beast, Stanley Johnson looks good on the Magic but shorty probably wants to tank so his production might suffer. DRob looked good in summer league so he might have potential as well. But Jelani has my vote.
6: Who do you think had the most lackluster offseason?
Spurs, don't even think they signed an players.
7: Who do you think will be in the finals this postseason and who wins it all?
Celtics vs Mavs. If they can acquire Gus Williams. I'd have to give it to the Mavs.
8: there's still some nice drafts coming up, is there any player not currently in the league that you would want to draft maybe in this years draft/future season(s)
Michael Porter is a young high school stud, think he'll be a legit player in college basketball in a couple years. But also John Stockton, definitely looking forward to him if I have a shot at drafting him.
9: Will the Nets make it through CY?
I was in a similar situation alst year and beat it. He just needs to find the right DC or make the right moves. Needs a good scorer that can compliment Wiggins or Magic. Pistol and Oscar didn't mesh well so not sure Magic and Wiggins will either.
10: Did you answer these questions truthfully? Or did you answer these questions so you won't get fined?
Absolutely. Not getting fined is a plus, but also hoping for the +3 RC.
Bucks
1: how satisfied/unsatisfied were you with last seasons playoffs?
I was very satisfied with the PO´s as I was the #5 in East I knew it would be hard since the 1st serie... But with my presence in the SIM´s I could do some adjust´s and eliminate the Wizards and the #1 from East the Raptors.
2: with the season starting soon, give us an update on how your team is doing and how well you think your team will be this season.
The team is going well with Larry Bird leading a good core of experienced players like Davis, WBF and Raines and some other guys that can score a lot from the perimeter. This season I think we can perform well again and our big menace still being the high scoring level players.
3: Most teams should have a good reliable big or two by now if not hoping for one in upcoming drafts, how crucial is perimeter play in this le
Is not easy to get good bigs in this SIM, had Wilt that is one of the best bigs atm but as my team ws more balanced to outside I saw in Bird a good weapon to get one of the best perimeter offenses in the league. P erimeter is very important but it´s important that you havo good perimenter defenders too, last season lost the PO´s to Magic as shorty playing an outside offense and my perimeter was my key...
4: With a declining soft cap/hard cap, how do you see this shaping the league?
Most of the managers are getting some troubles to get under HC but I think it was an need for this league to prevent contract´s like Embiid and De Ron Davis...
5: Who are your biggest risers this season?
I think my core (WBF, Raines, Bird) is stronger them last year and now will have an nice help from J Jackson and Woody that can shoot very well from outside. Hope that Bird could be discussing the MVP if we do a good regular...
6: Who do you think had the most lackluster offseason?
What is lackluster ? xD
7: Who do you think will be in the finals this postseason and who wins it all?
Sonics and Nets made a lot of good moves and I think now they have team to contend to the top positions of the league. Also Lakers and Raptors would be in the top, hope Bucks would also.
8: there's still some nice drafts coming up, is there any player not currently in the league that you would want to draft maybe in this years draft/future season(s)
Would be nice if I can get Hakeem, Ewing or Malone but I dont think I will be able for that.
9: Will the Nets make it through CY?
Easilly for sure, having a very good and nice team this moment...
10: Did you answer these questions truthfully? Or did you answer these questions so you won't get fined?
Thruthfully as ever
Magic
1: how satisfied/unsatisfied were you with last seasons playoffs?
I honestly didn't know what to expect when the playoffs started. It was a gut-wrenching moment to trade away De'Ron Davis in the offseason, and there were certainly ups and downs throughout the season while we re-stablished team chemistry. But once the playoffs started, the entire team stepped up and shot through some really tough teams to complete the 3peat. Jerry West and Malone were both spectacular, but I'd say Charles Barkley was the first to elevate his game in the Bulls series game and everyone sort of took his lead afterwards.
2: with the season starting soon, give us an update on how your team is doing and how well you think your team will be this season.
It was again "gut-wrenching" to break up a core that looked ready to contend for another 5 years. It's not just the big 3 that I'll miss, but the role players like Beeja, Bol Bol, and Johnny Davis as well. With that said, I'm pretty excited for this new era of Magic bball. We have an ENTIRE new team this season, and our best players are 20-23 years old. We got some 1st picks as well and I think we are a minor move or two away from being set. Obviously we won't be contending this season, and in fact I hope that we lose quite a bit. The upcoming draft looks nice.
3: Most teams should have a good reliable big or two by now if not hoping for one in upcoming drafts, how crucial is perimeter play in this league to you?
It's hard to say since the most recent championships were led by dominant big men in Joel Embid and De'Ron Davis, but I think we've found out now that it's nearly impossible to win unless you have at least an above average PG at least.
4: With a declining soft cap/hard cap, how do you see this shaping the league?
In the short run, it'll really make teams penny pinch and look at their salary situation. In the long run, salaries will balance out and adjust so that there won't be a huge difference. While it's important to spend money to win, at the end of the day what's most important is who you are spending that money on, and that will always be the deciding factor of which teams win games and which ones don't.
5: Who are your biggest risers this season?
There's gonna be a few.. Grizzlies, Pacers, Nets, Pistons are probably all going to be playoff bound and at least 2 of them will end up being top 3 in their respective conferences. The Sonics took a step and a half up by adding the two veteran Malones from the last NBADSL Finals. The elite scoring, shot-blocking, rebounding, and defense that they added to their core is a huge game-changer. The Rockets will probably be back in the playoffs after acquiring Tyus Battle. This season will have a much different landscape.
6: Who do you think had the most lackluster offseason?
Cavs, Blazers, Jazz. All had cap space and didn't spend it on anything except their own players.
7: Who do you think will be in the finals this postseason and who wins it all?
SuperSonics vs Bucks with the Bucks taking it home for the East for a 4th time in a row. I like the Sonics starting 5 a lot, but I ended up picking the Bucks because of their elite perimeter play and because Larry Bird is an unstoppable goon.
8: there's still some nice drafts coming up, is there any player not currently in the league that you would want to draft maybe in this years draft/future season(s)
I would love to get Hakeem Olajuwon, but it's most likely that our best shot for a good prospect will be in this upcoming draft. I'd love to get the Mailman or Patrick Ewing. Oh, and can't forget about John Stockon. That would be epic.
9: Will the Nets make it through CY?
Ye
10: Did you answer these questions truthfully? Or did you answer these questions so you won't get fined?
Truthfully. O and if you like the hat that I'm wearing, you can buy it on my website.
For base and shorty you have both been in this league and the previous league for awhile now, what do you have to say about the person you faced in the finals last season?
When I think of basenoc the GM, I think of old reliable. He's the tortoise not the hare, you know what you are getting when he's running a team. Base runs his teams patiently, he develops his players, and those same players has taken his team to a few Finals appearances. Ya gotta start paying your star players more money tho.
Mavs
1: how satisfied/unsatisfied were you with last seasons playoffs?
Not too satisfied. As the number 1 seed in the West, I wanted to be in the finals but felt like a couple of injuries deterred us. I'm pretty sure I would've lost to the Magic anyway so it's not a huge deal. Last season's playoffs weren't too exciting though, not too many power teams.
2: with the season starting soon, give us an update on how your team is doing and how well you think your team will be this season.
Utter shit but hopefully this AC will help us out. Mainly due to losing Battle and then not being able to get Gus because I traded all my cash to clear cap for Battle. Honestly, probably a 40-45 win team as of now unless I can pull something out of my ass. This will be a confusing season for sure, probably should start a rebuild but I'm too stubborn to do it. Shoutout to blue for picking me as a finalist even though I'm not haha.
3: Most teams should have a good reliable big or two by now if not hoping for one in upcoming drafts, how crucial is perimeter play in this league to you?
Crucial indeed. The league is at a point where you need good play in nearly all areas in order to succeed though. Having a good PG and perimeter shooting is pretty vital.
But at the same time, having two reliable bigs is a must. They don't have to be stars but they have to be able to rebound and play good D.
4: With a declining soft cap/hard cap, how do you see this shaping the league?
Ideally smaller deals but I honestly don't see that happening too effectively. Hopefully it gets rid of the 25-30 mil deals. I also think we'll see more GMs going over the HC in the next few years. It probably won't be a real factor until the HC gets really low in a few years.
5: Who are your biggest risers this season?
Not sure if risers is referring to teams or players? For teams that will improve from last year, I'll go with the Pacers and Rockets. Both teams signed nice PGs to complement their young rising players (Kareem & Barry). The Sonics will also be a lot better, possibly a 50 win team now.
6: Who do you think had the most lackluster offseason?
Spurs, hope they sent in bids at least. Felt like the Blazers could have signed some players that would've really helped improve their squad. Kings and Mavs for losing key players. Pistons did a lot but had some strange signings lol
7: Who do you think will be in the finals this postseason and who wins it all?
Really hard to say at this point in time... a lot of changes are still happening. I'll just make a safe guess and go for Sonics v Raptors, Raptors win. A lot of dark horses in the East though, like Bucks, Celtics, Nets.
8: there's still some nice drafts coming up, is there any player not currently in the league that you would want to draft maybe in this years draft/future season(s)
I don't want to tank so hopefully not going to draft anybody good I am a Raptors Fan so I would love to have Bruno Caboclo on my team.
9: Will the Nets make it through CY?
Looks like it. They have a good team. But you never know with CY... injuries or bad DCs can easily ruin it (knock on wood). At least their GM is constantly looking to trade so they'll probably be able to make it.

Pacers
1. I was terribly unsatisfied! I wasn't a part of it, so that's always a bummer. To be honest, I didn't pay much attention to it since we start the draft at the same time.
2. I'm feeling good about my team right now. It's real unfortunate that I didn't have any extra bird year players I could sign to big expirings, otherwise I'd have Tyonne Malone. Presently I think we can be a major contender in the East, I just have a lot of DC tweaks to figure out between now and then.
3. I always like to build my team from the top down if I can. Lucking into LaSalle was great, he's already as good as Petti. That being said, I also usually like to have my wings as my main options. Having big men as options leads to a lot of blocks for your opponents, so I don't like that too much. But here, there aren't many wings I can count on too much.
4. I don't see the cap dropping changing all too much. Contracts in this league aren't long enough that anyone can't get themselves out of a contract. I do think it will make the league slightly more competitive, at least from top to bottom. I see less 60+ win teams and less sub-30 win teams moving forward, it'll be a lot harder for guys to fill teams with max contracts, and I think you'll see more teams in the lotto with max players. RFA is going to be utilized a lot more.
5. As far as players, idk where Stanley Johnson came from. He had a tame 15ppg on yuck percentages last year. He's still not shooting well but he sure is taking the Kobe role. As fr as teams, the Sonics are looking a lot better than I think anyone could have expected. I don't feel so bad about moving their pick for a 2nd round pick anymore. They could win it all.
6. Cavaliers. You'd think the team that signed Trey Mourning for 5m would have had a great offseason, but they didn't really do anything aside from that. Pistons surprised me. Signed Pervis real high but let Dan Roundfield go cheap. Seems like the Pistons are destined for lottery.
7. I don't have any doubt that the Sonics will represent the West and more than likely win it all. There aren't many teams that stand out in the East right now. I'd say the Raptors are the favorite but I think the race in the East is going to be real similar to how it was last year. Whoever can win 50 will have the top spot. I'll play the homer pick and say my Pacers will face the Sonics.
8. I'm waiting for Drazen Petrovic to come in. Love a player like him in FBB, especially considering I don't like many of the current wings.
9. I would laugh if they didn't. Shouldn't be too much of a problem, but that Stanley panic deal was a mess. I wish I could read that back and forth of PMs. All the scoring power they have they should be able to make the 8th seed, but the East doesnt have many straight tankers so I don't think he's in the clear yet.
10. You can't handle the truth...
Raptors
1) I Was Pretty Disappointed Of How The Playoff Went Because As A Playoff Team It's Either Championship Or Bust. We Lost To A Really Good Team But With Smarter GMing We Could Have Taken The Series I Think. We Came Back From A 3-1 Deficit But Could Not Take It In Game Seven.
2) I Think Our Team Will Repeat Last Seasons Regular Season Success Because We Didn't Change Much In Our Rotation. Didn't Take A Step Back In TC so We Should Still Be SolidJust Have To Capitalize On The Magic Rebuilding
3) Perimeter Play Is Crucial AsHell In Just About Any League. From My Experience You Can Have Dominant Bigs But Without A Dominant PG/SG it's Tough To Take The Overall Prize. Kings Have Been A Nice Example Of That In This League. A Dominant PG on Their Team Would Have Pushed Them To The Next Level.
4)A Declining Cap Will Make GMs Have To Really Think Before They Make Moves. You've Seen It Before With Teams In This League Where They Had Insane Depth Because Of The Cap Flexibility They Had. Stars Will Become More Valuable In This League Became Teams Will Not Be Able To Afford As Much Quality Depth.
5) In The West Sonics Are The Obvious Ones Primed To Make A Big Jump After Acquiring Moses Malone Without Giving Any Assets. They Also Got Tyrone Malone Who Should Help Put Them Over The Top. As For The East I Believe The Bucks Will Take A Step Forward. If I'm Not Mistaken They've Had A Couple Seasons Struggling To Stay Healthy. If They Stayed Healthy They Should Be Atop The East.
6) Has To Be The Kings Offseason. They Lost Moses Malone Who Was A Huge Reason For Their Success. Losing Malone Will Likely Drop Them To The Lotto Which May Not Be A Bad Thing If Base Can Do A Quick Mini Rebuild.
7) I Think Celtics Vs. Lakers Will Meet Up In The Finals With The Celtics Taking It Home For The East. Both Are Really Well Built And Should Have Successful Seasons
8) I'd Love To Somehow Get My Hands On Hakeem The Dream. akeem Would Make This Team Really Versatile. Low Post Threat, AndPerimeter Shooting Would Make Us Difficult To YGuard. Would Also Solidify Our Team As Far As Rebounding And Post Defense.
9) They Have A Really Solid Team So I Wouldn't Be Surprised If They Slip By CY. They May Regret Giving Stanley Away, Especially To A Commish (Don't Hurt Me Shorty)
10) Yeah.
Sorry For The Format Btw. Using My Moms Pantech And For Whatever Reason The POS capitalizes Everything As You Can See. I Can Clean It Up A LittBit But It Wouldn't Be Until I Got Home Tomorrow
