So I made a new trade checker that has several useful features:
1. It has all the players on teams in the league populated in drop down menus for every team.
2. It should always be at least as updated as the index if not moreso.
3. If it is not completely up-to-date there a couple things that can happen (if a trade just happened or something):
- There is a box to type in numbers to be included into the trade and a box to type in cut salaries.
- So if you made a trade, and your cap is different, you can update your cap with the difference in the cut salaries box (positive and negative numbers should work).
- You can also include the sum of other salaries not listed in the drop down menus in the "extra salaries" box(say if you needed to add a player or two to make the trade work or the database is not completely up-to-date yet)
4. It will tell you if the trade works salary wise, then it will also tell if you need to make cuts or if one of the teams is put over the HC by the trade. If it just says "Trade Works", then it works, and neither team needs to make cuts nor are they over the salary cap. (if the database is not completely up to date, this may not be completely accurate, but it should usually be up-to-date).
5. If the trade does not work. It will tell you which team needs to add salary and how much salary they need to add.
***This is probably the most important part: Cut salaries are NOT included when calculating a team's salaries. You have to input those yourself. So if you go over the HC and you didn't type in your cut salary, don't blame me.***
That's all I can think of for this section. Now for my plan to keep the database as up-to-date as possible:
I have created another page called "Process Transactions". It is a password protected page where one can go and submit trades and add/drops. I will give out the password to several GM's so that the database can be updated as quickly as possible after transactions are made. Once a trade is confirmed or someone makes a move in SCC, someone can go to the page, type in the password and put the trade in just like in the trade checker, with drop down menu's populated with each team's players. There are drop down's for trades and cuts. For FA signings its a little different. I don't have FA's in the database, so you can just type in the name of the player and there is a drop down menu next to it for the players experience. Select the corresponding number for how many years experience the player has and it will add the player to that team with the correct minimum salary. It also has LLE and MLE options. This will also add the player to the sortable player stats page, but they will not have any stats listed until the index is updated again, just a salary and name. The page will always have boxes for trades, adds and drops. If the box is left blank nothing will happen. So you can just put an add or a drop through by itself if that's what needs to be done.
I've also included a change log. Whenever somebody puts a transaction through, it will be put into the change log so everyone can see how up-to-date the trade checker is and also so people aren't trying to complete transactions that were already done. Most recent transactions posted at the top
My plan is to give the password to as many GM's as possible so anyone online who sees a transaction can put it through. If people start fucking it up intentionally, I'll have to change it and give it to more trustworthy people.
*** Fuck it. The password is "admin1". Anyone in the league can update it. If this becomes a problem I'll change it. Know that anything put through on the process.php page will update the database. So only do it when an actual transaction is made. If the database becomes very noticeably out of date I'll change the access to everyone to update the page. For now I'm trusting that everyone in the league wants the trade checker to be as up do date as possible. Just check the change log before you update anything to make sure it wasn't already done. ***
the update link is popn.altervista.org/process.php See how it goes.
Also the process trade does not check the trades. It will put anything you do through.
If you want the password PM me and I'll probably give it to you. If you mess something up it's not a huge deal and can be easily fixed.
Also, if you notice anything isn't working properly let me know.
If you're using a phone, you may have to zoom out a lot when the page loads. I also find that it looks best on Chrome on phone or computer. Don't have an iPhone so who knows what safari does with it.

I also added per 36 stats to the sortable player stats.

I think that's everything
Enjoy
