1. Last season we witnessed league history with the Orlando Magic going a video-game like 75-7. Is this a record we will ever see broken again?
Grizzlies: No way that was some shit. With the cba changes coming up I doubt it unless some rookie comes out as a steal to an already established team. It's hard with cap
Magic: Doubtful. We had no major injuries, we had some lucky breaks in FA (Jerry West and later Beeja Anya signing for the MLE), and DPOTY + MVP De'Ron Davis was playing in his prime. We were the #1 team in RPG (and had the best rebounding margin as well), had the highest FG%, led the league in SPG, BPG, oTPG, and held teams down with the best oFG% in the league. So all this took were no injuries, a few lucky breaks, the best player in the league, and the best rebounding, defense, and offense in the league + strength at all the key positions, and that's something unlikely to ever happen again. To press on this point, our team this season is arguably the same talent-wise, but injuries and some close losses has already given us more losses than what we had last season. The most important thing is just luck tbh.
Cavaliers: That record will remain there until this league dies. The stars aligned last season for the Magic and I don't think they can replicate the success even with the same roster.
Mavericks: Props to the Magic for their performance. I think 75-7 is as good as we’ll ever see… I’ve been in a decent amount of leagues and don’t remember any teams topping 75 wins. The Magic were extremely fortunate not to suffer any injuries to their main guys during the regular season as well, and that is somewhat rare. The leagues has capable enough GMs to challenge the record though.
Lakers: That one be untouchable. Tough to imagine a team staying as dominant and relatively injury free for a whole season and lose less than 7 games. Very impressive.
Celtics: Unlikely, magic just dominated last season. Hardly any injuries, fbb must've liked them because its killing everyone this season.
2. What is your teams outlook? Are you competing for a ring? Or are you competing for a chance to draft Kareem or Isiah?
Grizzlies: I tried to tank and rebuild but I got the best record in the league. Don't think my team is playoff ready tho so prob will not make it out first or second round. Would love Kareem or Thomas
Magic: I think we have one of the best shots to win the ring. Despite some injuries to key players this season, and De'Ron Davis taking a step back in rebounding and blocks, we still won a lot of games without him, and our roster has depth, offense, defense, and rebounding. If our big 3 stays healthy, I think we can repeat.
Cavaliers: My team had a mediocre preseason coupled with a horrid start to the season so I thought that I was on my way to my first legit tanking season. But then I went 10-3 the next two sims so I figured I might as well try to win a ring with Jabari.
Mavericks: Competing this year for sure.. have one of the oldest starting fives in the league. With Harrell & Jefferson expiring I’m not sure what next year holds although I don’t have my first so I’ll either trade for it or retool. Think the West will be relatively easier for a couple seasons though so I want to take advantage of that. Haven’t been a huge fan of the recent drafts.
Lakers: My team has some talent, but are definitely more in the hunt for Kareem/Isaiah than we are for a ring. Re-signings will be huge for us this season with some of our young talent expiring. If we can maintain a top 5 pick and retain all of our guys, we should be good to start competing next year.
Celtics: Made a lot of big moves this season just to try and compete. Not working yet but hopefully I'll find a dc that works soon.
3. With the old CBA expiring, and the new CBA agreed on, what are some changes you like/dislike? Anything else you think the CBA should address?
Grizzlies: I like what shorty did so far should bring some new interest in the league and keep it competitive
Magic: The new build-a-player feature will be neat, and having a camp to cut down on injury time will be handy. Aside from that, I think the new CBA will fix a lot of small issues in an otherwise well-functioning league.
Cavaliers: As the long as the league is running smoothly, I don't really care what's in the CBA. I'll just play by the rules.
Mavericks: My views have already been posted on the original threads… it’s been discussed. I’m fine with the 1-2 mil amendment though, that definitely solves any issues I had with it. I would’ve liked a change to RFA, think $500 is still too cheap and makes the league slightly less interesting. Overall the new features are cool though, excited to see them.
Lakers: There were quite a few additions this year. Some of the new camps look intriguing and helpful. Also like the decreasing HC number as that should help limit super teams and (hopefully) make people a little smarter before tossing around big contracts. Overall outlook on the new CBA and league in general is very good.
Celtics: I did suggest the gradual going down of HC so I'm a fan of that, even tho I'm gonna have a hard time with it. I'm also a fan of all the new additions they will definitely make things interesting.
4. If you could start a rebuild with any one player in this league, who would you pick?
Grizzlies: Would have to be around embiid. He's been amazing for me sad to see him go
Magic: I'll start a rebuild around MJ. His stipulation practically will force me to make moves to win and he's pretty elite himself. I'm sure we are still far from seeing the best of MJ. Success or failure, it'll be a fun ride.
Cavaliers: Jordan minus his draft stipulation. He's a beast at such a young age and it's only a matter of time before he takes over the league. (I would have chosen a PG but this league is lacking great, young chucking PGs)
Mavericks: Michael Jordan, but the 4 year rule is tough. My number 2 would be Jabari Parker (assuming we’re starting from year 0), 11 seasons and counting of 30ppg is amazing.. would Jordan be that much better? If we’re starting at this current year then my number 2 choice would be Larry Bird.
Lakers: Gotta be Jordan. His stipulation may be tough, but in a sense it may be a positive. When you have a player like Jordan you should be going for rings every year anyway, so that stipulation is just added pressure to keep your priorities straight and make winning moves. Only other player I'd really consider would be Bob Cousy, because PG is such a crucial position in FBB and he is young and already elite.
Celtics: Right now I think the best player is Larry Bird. But if I were to build around a youth I'd stick with Pistol Pete.
5. What team do you think has the best future in this league?
Grizzlies: My team is lookin good for sure. Raptors a clear nice answer too
Magic: The Raptors are poised to be the new King of the East once we get older and break down. Their core players are pretty young, and they have probably the best PG in the league in Cousy.
Cavaliers: Raptors. They have three solid young players (Cousy, Reggie, Pippen) to build around plus a wild card in Theo. If Pippen could break out like Reggie then the league better watch out.
Mavericks: Raptors, but they’ll have difficulty resigning everyone. Lakers look good. Grizzlies have done amazing rebuilds the last couple of times so don’t count them out.
Lakers: This is a really tough question actually. To be a homer, I could go with myself. Have a good amount of proven young talent that still haven't hit their prime yet, as well as a high pick in this draft. If the offseason goes well, we could be going high lotto to playoffs. Another team I am a fan of their setup for the future would be the Raptors. After some moves this year they have some vets sprinkled into their youth, but have talent spread throughout the roster, lead by the man Bob Cousy. Should be interesting to watch Cousy and Miller develop together, lethal combo.
Celtics: Raptors. They have everything and depth will be scary come post season.
6. What is your preferred method of building a team in FBB? Do you build around an outside team, balanced team, inside team, or defensive juggernaut?
Grizzlies: I like the balanced scoring with strong defense. It's worked for me. To win a ring you need that super star though
Magic: I've been to the Finals with all 3 focuses before, but one thing that's been consistent in all of my Finals squads are rebounding and defense. Aside from that, you pick your offense based on what players are available in FA/trades/draft and cater to their strengths. There are many ways to build a good offense.
Cavaliers: A high octane offense that is preferably outside oriented. The team also better be led by a chucking PG.
Mavericks: Balanced offensive juggernaut would be most fun I think. But I don’t really have a preference. I guess I'd just build a team that fits my top players.
Lakers: I really like the balanced approach, as it keeps more trade options open, as it is easier to fit almost any player into your lineup. I think it is just as easy to win with an outside offense, but your limited on what types of players you should be pursuing to fit that scheme. There are some players who dont play as well in balanced, but for the most part I think it is the best way to build a team in which everyone's strength can be used.
Celtics: I tried inside with Embiid, Ayton, Simmons, and Wall. I haven't been relavent since then. Trying outside now with Pistol and it seems to be working decent. Might try defensive next but that might be a while since Pistol plays no defense lol
7. Who do you think will represent the West and East in the finals. Who is gonna win?
Grizzlies: Magic Grizzlies again is default answer. Someone could prob take me out west though
Magic: Magic vs Mavericks. We'll win man.
Cavaliers: Magic vs Kings. The Magic is still the cream of the crop out East and the Kings would have made it out West if it weren't for an injury to a major player. I think the Magic and the East will come out on top once again.
Mavericks: I always support the West. But I think the East wins it this year, and I guess my pick would either be the Magic as they’re still fairly similar to their old team (beautiful point differential) I could also see the Bucks making a run in the playoffs, they have a nice team that’s been getting injured too often. I don’t want to jinx myself so I’ll pick the Kings for the West.
Lakers: I believe we will see the Clippers come out of the West, and Magic from the East. The East and Magic will prove to be dominant once again, and we will have back-to-back champs for the 2nd time in a row.
Celtics: I'd have to say Raptors and Griz. Gonna give it to the east again with the Raptors.

9. Now to the NFL. With the NFL season quickly ending, who do you think will represent the AFC and NFC? Who takes it all home?
Grizzlies: Green Bay Patriots and brady takes one more home
Magic: Hard to say. NFL is so unpredictable. I'm gonna go with a darkhorse and say that Ravens will make it out of AFC. They are a veteran team that can play in cold weather, and I'll go with the Seahawks to come out of the NFC. I'll give it to the Seahawks.
Cavaliers: I don't follow the NFL. Aye Editors Note: I'll just go ahead and say the Colts.
Mavericks: Seahawks – Patriots; Seattle wins IMO
