No-Draft List Penalty Proposal (Another one)

Penalty:

1st Offense:
$300
- If you can't pay that, you lose all the cash you have + your player to FA

2nd Offense:
You lose the player + up to $300

3rd Offense:
Lose your team

Open to changes/suggestions as well. If this gets enough popularity (doesn't have to be 14 yes votes strictly), then we should see if one of the commishes can implement this for next season. Let's fix the draft issue once and for all.

Good idea as well. 

Perhaps:
If missed pick is lotto, then give them a non-lotto caliber player
If the missed pick is not lotto, you get skipped + pay cash
^ This will require some good judgement on the part of the draft mod (probably you itnas123)

My suggestion would be to just move them to the end of the round, then auto them at that point, so everyone who participates can draft who they want and get their player stolen from them from an auto pick.

Like for me I didn't submit a list knowing I was guna be there to pick, therefore I shouldn't be penalized since I picked in a timely manner but if you don't have a list and hold everything up. Your pick should be skipped down 1 till you sign on

I think this is if you don't have a list and your time runs out.

But skipping down one also wouldn't be bad

Would be hard but we can plan a time for draft. Have itnas doing scouts each gm has 5 min on the clock we would finish the draft in an hour or so. If you can't make that time send the list

I'm in favor of moving them down til theyre on. But if we only move them down 1 then we'd have to reset the clock for a person who likely wouldn't be there. So maybe move them down 5 until they show up?

If the penalty for missing DCs is less than this proposal, what makes this right? Im sure Auto is penalty enough. Just set a time limit and auto BPA. its not that difficult. I understand the frustration when waiting on someone to make a pick but we are not all on the same time zone and we are not all available at the same time.

Yeah, just auto honestly. I was in favor of penalties before, but I don't think we should get too strict here. Just straight up auto.

Honestly, gotmelks' plan would fix a lot of the confusion and issues. I'd be in favor of punishments that punish the GM more and the team less. But someone has to go if they keep getting low picks and missing them. Current model isnt even close to optimal and I don't think anyone can argue with that
