You're in a dogfight for the 8th seed right now. Do you plan on making any big changes before the deadline or do you have confidence in your core group? ballislifeRight now we are a .500 team and fighting every game to climb the ladder. As the season progresses, our confidence rises. In that, I feel that our core group of guys are playing at a level where nobody would put them. I strongly feel our "Big 3: Williams, Redd, Lewis" can be one of the best trio's in the league. As such, a move before the deadline is unlikely. Plus, Michael Redd had robotic knees implanted in the offseason so he plays like he is in his early 20's.

Your team came out this year red hot then had some bad luck. Close losses and injuries have slowed down the progress your team seemed destined to make. What are your plans to get your team back to it's winning ways?

Your team came out this year red hot then had some bad luck. Close losses and injuries have slowed down the progress your team seemed destined to make. What are your plans to get your team back to it's winning ways? Well I feel like we need to reevaluate our training staff because our stars are frequently getting injured, like Redd and Lewis. Other than that, we need to lock down better on defense and become more consistent. We have the potential to do big things, we just need to execute when the money is on the table.

Everyone wants EMEKA what would it take for a gm to land the big man in a trade Emeka Okafor is arguably the best defensive player in the league. He consistently gets huge boards and blocks when it counts. He clogs the lane like no other. Also, he is not a push over in the paint on the offensive side. To spike our interest, we would like a young stud in our starting rotation for our aging superstars who can instantly make an impact in the starting rotation.

Big injury to Deron. It resembled shovel girl in that his head literally caved in after an elbow to the head. Do the injuries make you angry at him or at your medical staff?

Could you make your answer count clear please? Makes it a LOT easier on me - given we have quite a few active Q&As now...

Yes, in fact, we have relieved the duties of Juwan "Juwana Man" Howard from head medical trainer in our staff. We are working tirelessly to bring in Dr. James Andrews and Dr. Shaun Cagaoan to our team to help create a new environment. Proper training is key and we need a talented staff to continue our success and limit such injuries, like a broken skull. Also, my profile picture is "shovel girl" to implicate the impact of a broken skull. It is very unfortunate, but hilarious at the same time.

What would be a satisfactory result for the team at the end of the season? 5. At this point in the season, we feel like a .500 record would be satisfactory. The huge injury to our snubbed all-star, Deron Williams, is unfortunate and has hurt us both offensively and defensively. However, we feel that we still have a good enough team to compete in the "surprisingly" weaker Eastern division and hopefully snag a spot in the playoff hunt.

Ahhhh... that makes sense. My bad. Here: have another question!

The Heat have been one of the great success stories of the league. When do you expect to return them to greatness, and what's your plan to do so?

How will deron Williams rebound from a serious injury like a broken skull 6. Well, Deron has showed us great perseverance and has even showed that he can help mentor (without the use of a mentor camp) our backup PG Troy Bell. Bell has shown up when Deron has been injured and has helped us salvage this injury-ridden season. As of now, Deron is healthy and we are working to keep it that way.

Do you plan to keep this core for next year or are you going to shake it up? 7. Well, we feel as an organization that we had the potential to go far with this team and sure enough we went as far as we could (won the championship). The best part is all our guys have been together for a while now and we have developed a chemistry unlike any other team, since trades are everywhere. So I do not feel like we wlll be truly active in free agency nor the trade market. Our team is in win now mode and we feel like we have the pieces to contend for our title, not only as an underdog, but a top team.

if you could point to one single thing that got you a championship this season that wasn't done in the past few seasons, what would it be? Better offense/defense incoming players, certain players stepping up that didn't before etc.

Well... I'll alter it a bit. Do you think that the Heat were last season's best team?

Many teams live and die via trading, etc. This team was previously constructed, I liked it, and ran with it. We have a defensive-minded big man group and a offensive slaughterhouse with our shooters. They may not be the flashiest names out there, but there strengths pan out well with each other enough to oust other teams that may be better. One player I'd point out that would be Emeka Okafor. He is hands down the best defending big man in the league (yeah I said that). He consistently puts up monstrous defensive games and it shows.

Hmmm... SRG1 asked a very similar question to that which I was thinking... Well... I'll alter it a bit. Do you think that the Heat were last season's best team? 9. No, definitely not. We had major injuries all year. Our trio of Deron, Redd and Lewis have been hit with numerous injuries and even in the playoffs we encountered some injuries. There is some hate that it seems impossible that a 7th seed, a team who went 39-43 in the regular season won the championship, but that record doesn't account for our team being healthy. Also, we had multiple games that we lost by 20+ in the playoffs. Every series was a nail biter and went to 7 games. In that, we were not exactly the greatest team, but we were not the worst team to make the playoffs. We had a solid bunch of players who happened to be more consistent than the rest of the teams in the playoffs.

What are your plans post ASW? Your team seems to only be hot and cold, no in between. 10. Well, we are in quite an awkward spot. I see only two options at this point. One would be to tank and receive a good player in the upcoming draft. The second option would be to fight for dear life and hopefully sneak into the playoffs, seemingly since the East is quite weak. Remember, we did win as the 7th seed with a losing record, so anything is possible.

What has happened to your team since they put on their rings? Bad season 11. Well, as a new GM and new to the FBB system in general, we are still trying to figure out what works and what doesn't. Our team is getting older and there may be some changes coming along in South Beach. But remember, our team wasn't exactly great when we had the rings to begin with. We just proved that we can take it to the best teams in a 7 game series, which if we make the playoffs, we are hoping for a similar result. CHANGE IS COMING.

Are you going to rebuild starting after this season? if so why do you think it is time to do so? 12. Yes. Unfortunately we did not make the playoffs, so our focus is to get younger and more consistent for next year. By the chance of luck, we also got the #1 pick in this year's draft, and we have the cap space for more players. We believe it's time to make these moves simply because we do not have the youth to win night in and night out. Expect big changes in South Beach.
