What direction do you want to see your team go in considering one of the best GM's in the league constructed it? After seeing my team's history, I know I have a lot to live up to. I've taken over the team at a low point with 2 key players dealing with injuries, but this should hopefully be a minor bump in the road. The first goal each and every year is to make the playoffs. Once you're in, anything can happen. I believe this team is set up to compete at a high level for the foreseeable future, so I will be planning to follow the same path as the GM before me. I do, however, also hope to leave my personal mark on this team with lineup tweaking and eventual draft picks/trades. Thanks for the question! |

What is your team's biggest weakness and how far will you go to remedy it? I see my team's biggest weakness in guard depth. We have two great players in Jay Williams and Luol Deng, but our backups haven't progressed as expected. We had big hopes when we acquired both Stuckey and Conley. They have carved out important roles on this team, but we always need to keep an eye toward the future. The Bulls will be patient this season. Injuries have prevented new ownership from fairly evaluating each player yet. We have high expectations for the remainder of the season. Thanks for taking the time to ask this question. |

Can you hit the heights the former manager took the Bulls to? I've been waiting for a question like this. Taking over a team as established and celebrated as the Bulls is a gift and a curse. I'm lucky in that I have a great roster, but I have been given little cap space to alter the team in ways I personally want to. This led to the rather abrupt trade of Deng for Arenas. The Bulls are happy with what Arenas has been able to bring to the team offensively, but there are definitely some in the organization who believe Deng was more valuable. I also have to deal with the expectations of living up to the past manager, which brings with it its own set of challenges. With that being said, I certainly embrace these challenges and believe this team can resemble the past in terms of competitiveness and winning. After an embarrassing week 6 sim, the team has come back with an impressive 11-2 record in the last two weeks. The Bulls feel confident going forward, especially with the return of Amare quickly approaching. |

Is Josh Smith potentially on the move? When I first took over this team, Josh Smith was someone we immediately put on the trade block. He seemed to be inconsistent and loved to settle for the outside shot. With the recent acquire of Arenas, Smith has seemed to become a different player. Management has regained confidence in Josh and plans to keep him around for the foreseeable future. |

With both Amare and Dwight locked in for the foreseeable future, what is Anthony Randolph's position with this team ? Anthony Randolph is a valued member of the Bulls. He is progressing a lot faster than even our scouts anticipated. There is an issue however as malice so elegantly pointed out in his article. The Bulls are strapped in terms of cap space for the foreseeable future. With Randolph's rookie contract expiring in a few seasons, we will have to make some hard choices. Will we try and move Amare next season and hope to resign Randolph? Will we let Randolph walk and keep the core together as long as we can? Or will we try to move Randolph in the upcoming season? As of today, the Bulls are content with their roster and want to make the Deng-Arenas trade the only questionable trade they make this season. There are rumors circulating among the organization that Randolph is the new owner's favorite player, though, making it possible that he will crack the starting lineup as soon as next year. |

I ask this because while Amare is a very productive player, he also needs the ball alot to play well, which will affect the entire team. I know as well as anyone on the issues of having lots of talented players who need the ball lol.

Amare is a very productive player, but he also needs the ball alot to play well, which will affect the entire team. That's a great question and one I can't provide a clear answer to. We are hoping he can come in and make an impact on both ends of the floor, not just offensively, like he has done in the past. With the improvements in Josh Smith's offensive game, we are hoping Amare will realize that he won't need to be the workhorse he has been in the past. We want Amare fresh and healthy come playoff time, so we would expect him to see the benefits in a more balanced offensive attack. Chemistry wise I don't believe it will be a huge issue by playoff time. The team will definitely have to learn how to reincorporate him on both ends of the floor for a few games, but luckily everyone has played together before, including with Arenas. Randolph was a great bench player last year and should be fine with a role switch. A veteran like Amare should bring more consistency to our team, so I will say he should make our team better (fingers crossed, knock on wood, buys a lucky rabbit's foot). |

The cap situation is an issue, but we are going to try and weather the storm next season. We still love our core group of players and will try and do everything in our power to retain them for as long as we can. It's very possible, though, that situations out of our control could force us to move a player or two, but our focus right now is on this season. |

Which players are tradeable in your offseason plans? 8. As I'm sure the entire league is aware of right now, I've been trying to move Jay Williams. If he can't be moved for any assets, the organization has a few plans in mind to get under the cap. No one besides Williams is being actively shipped right now. The organization is focusing on the playoffs and will turn their attention to the cap and roster afterwards. Thanks for the question. |

I actually moved Arenas to PG in the playoffs and Williams at SG to try and take advantage of Nash's defense. It worked well for a couple of games, but luck was not on our side. I really liked how Arenas played as a PG, so it made the Williams move that much easier. Williams is a good player, but he just doesn't fit the vision I see for this team in the future. |

That's always our goal, but making the playoffs is always an accomplishment, too. After one season in FBB already, it's pretty clear that once you make the playoffs anything can happen. Hopefully the new roster will work out well for us and the additional cap space can help us land a few free agents in the final days. The Bulls always have an eye for the future, though, so if this season doesn't go as planned, expect a move to open up cap space for a chance at the loaded free agent class next season. |

New ownership hasn't really had a chance to fairly evaluate Amare, yet. He was injured for a large portion of the season last year and I don't know if he ever was at full health following his severe depression. Randolph filled in amiably for Amare and showed real promise throughout the season. Amare has a chance to change our minds, but as of now Randolph figures to be a key part of our plans going forward. |

We are looking to increase Randolph's role this season so it will be interesting to see how the rotation works. The team isn't looking to trade anyone to start the season, but as the season progresses we will see v |

We are excited to have LeBron on our team. We hope he can balance out both our offense and defense with his well rounded game. The Bulls are in win now mode and think the addition of LeBron could put us into the long list of contenders. |

We don't know how they will mesh yet and are eager to see all 5 in action. Our favorite part about the addition of LeBron is his versatility and all around game. We don't know if we have the best starting 5 yet, but we do believe we have the most balanced starting 5. |
