I'm surprised we won even tho I was trapping often. We were down 1-3 and got out of that after some vintage showings from just about everyone on the team. Tmac had a 43 point game and led us all the way til the end. Dirk had a big scoring game. Big Ben had a game with 9 blocks and 18 boards.Even Rashard Lewis showed up with a few big games in these last two rounds. I liked the Paul Pierce, VC, Damon, Dirk, and Ben lineup a few seasons ago (and we were underdogs in that playoffs as well), but this one might be my favorite of all time. It's extra meaningful to me since this is the last season, and it was McGrady leading us in his prime. 30+ seasons ago McGrady got a ring, he was already in decline and was basically the 3rd or 4th best player on my squad at the time. For him to win a MVP over a PG (like Damon who also played well) is pretty awesome as well. Anyway, it's a nice storybook ending for the Magic franchise. I couldn't have imagined a better way to go out.  |
