Those who aren't a fan of fakes are likely to have never been in a league who has done them, every league I've been in which gave fakes a shot ended up being very enjoyable and was actually refreshing compared to retro files. Retro files have their place in every league, but seriously my motivation basically disappears at the thought of going through with rerun files, its up to itty but the 03 draft should be the last of the real draft files.

Absolutely hate fake drafts , but they usually are a must with longer running leagues

Totally agree with Bundy. Fake leagues create their own history, and a few seasons into it it's as good as real leagues.
It requires some work from the commish though to make the fake rookies interesting : NCAA is great, but good notes can be enough.
I'm down for the idea of creating two players each, BUT I've seen what some GM here call "great names for fake players" and I think there will be some work to do about it...

Also there are lots and lots of great NCAA players who never made it to the NBA and could be the stars of our fake drafts.

We did this in another league where we would also write the notes for the players and proposed ratings.
It was a lot of fun.

Shorty did this with Mahney and JC2 and it worked out nice Hops McGee!!! Seriously tho, creating players and notes was pretty fun. It can be a bit time consuming, but I think you'll enjoy doing it itnas. There will be some trial and error I'm sure, but with Bundy looking at the player files I think things will be fine. I thought my mistake with creating player files was that I tended to under-rate a lot of players for the fear of inflation. |

My intention when I was doing drafts was to create hybrid drafts of fakes and real players to extend the number of drafts we have before the draft classes run out. Maybe we can do something like this to extend the remaining number of drafts we have left?
Also it's fitting that we end with 2003 draft, one of the GOAT drafts.

That is what I did when I ran my league, I hate how second rounders and later picks are throw aways, so I would make my drafts full it usually helps if you have more than one person helping with the draft. I also would allow each division winner to submit a player of their choice could be anyone either like a family mbr or one of their friends or a famous person I had players like james naismith, helicopter knowlings, some harlem globetrotter stars and i would hide a few diamonds in the rough late first round or second etc,etc,etc........Following the standard NBA players is good but you know everyone of us has dreamed of playing pro-sports either NBA,NFL,MLB or like me all three JMO |

I can't really do the bottom because I am randomizing the amount of Skill points I will use on each player and True potential. So basically you could get a player with a lot of skill but terrible True Potential or vice verse or average player and Great potential. |

or i would mess with the settings and make a center awesome at shooting 3's but not so great at rebounding, or a pg that couldn't dribble to save his life but could outrebound shaq and these were some of the diamond in the roughs i was talking about it made the box scores a real lot of fun
