It seems like you've made more changes than any other GM (seems). Have you thought that perhaps it's the DC and not the personnel?

maliceQ: It seems like you've made more changes than any other GM (seems). Have you thought that perhaps it's the DC and not the personnel? A: We keep trying to find the right scheme of things to see what would work best. We felt the JON/Duncan combo would work but we couldn't get the ball down low to them with poor guard play. We have been red hot since acquiring AI though. celticfanQ: Your team has a star, but not much else. What are your plans to improve the team? A: We were working on that all season and finally acquired Allen Iverson. It took a while for me to commit that much salary to one player but we like what he brings to the table to compliment Wade. BoshtrichBurgerQ: Will A.I. start or come off the bench? A: He's been starting PG for us and as a #1 option.

Although Iverson and Wade are very good players, your team doesn't have much around them. What are your short term plans with this roster ?

Although Iverson and Wade are very good players, your team doesn't have much around them. What are your short term plans with this roster ? As the year went, I've been asked the same question multiple times. Started with "not much around Al Horford" then "not much around Wade" now it is "not much around Wade and Iverson". The moves are speaking for themselves, since Allen Iverson was acquired, our team has been red hot and we are now 5 games out of the playoffs. Although playoffs may be a long shot, we look a lot better heading into next season. We are trying to pick up one more key player at the deadline to see if that can spark us into the playoffs, if not, than we have cap room for this offseason to add a few guys.

New players to the extent that it's a new team, yet the same ol' results. What was the point where the Spurs went wrong, and what will be the catalyst to get them to compete?

The Spurs ended their season on a 4-6 note. There were promising signs however as within the last sim you earned multiple wins over playoff teams. Given that what are your expectations going into next year?
(please ask one in return!)

maliceQ: New players to the extent that it's a new team, yet the same ol' results. What was the point where the Spurs went wrong, and what will be the catalyst to get them to compete? A: It wasn't really the same results. Once we got AI, our team stepped it up and we were an above .500 team daedalusQ: The Spurs ended their season on a 4-6 note. A: We have our rookies developing and we finally have a lineup we feel we can compete with. We feel playoffs are a necessity this year.

Shaquille O'Neal recently mentioned that he considered the Spurs a real threat out West, but that he can't wait to get you on the Blazers home court to tear you apart. Is your back-court fire-power enough to out-blaze the Blazers?

If there was one player you could magically add to your team in this league, who would it be?

Do you think Wade/Dragic is the backcourt for future? Absolutely. Now that Butler is gone, everyone knows that this is Dwyane's team. He had a career high 44 points this past sim and we have our first solid Point Guard since the Tony Parker days. Dragic was 7th overall pick in this past draft and between his ability to score and ability to control our offense, he will be fine.

With the plethora of draft picks at your disposal, is it possible we will see some new faces on the Spurs before the deadline?

The Spurs sit in 7th, with a string of teams between 5th to 11th who are still competing for those 4 spots. Will San Antonio make it?

bloop Q: With the plethora of draft picks at your disposal, is it possible we will see some new faces on the Spurs before the deadline? A: We have been talking to a bunch of teams about adding a key piece. We are one scorer away from being a top team. Darko and Wade have been killing it but we need a third weapon. maliceQ: The Spurs sit in 7th, with a string of teams between 5th to 11th who are still competing for those 4 spots. Will San Antonio make it? A: Our team at the moment has been slipping, if we can't make a move at the deadline, it will be very tough to make the playoffs. It all comes down to the deadline today.

1) celticfanQ: Do you think the Nowitzki/MIlicic/Wade trio will be one of the best in the league next season? A: I thought it was going to be but after starting the season 5-22 we had to make a change. 2) maliceQ: Can the Spurs contend? If you think they will, why do you think so? If not, what pieces are you missing? A: I still think we can contend at 5-22. We are just lacking depth at big man, defense and rebounding. We just made a few moves to sign some free agents off the market to hopefully help out there. 3) BrazilianDudeQ: Bringing back the Euro Step? Not many non euro players on your team. Do you think your team has the chemistry and skill to win? is Dirk the right guy to lead your team or is wade the leader A: We tried it and it failed. Back to black man basketball. Dwyane Wade is the leader of the San Antonio Spurs. 4) rookieoftheyearQ: Your team has some glaring holes, what plans does the organization have to patch them up & be true contenders ? A: We needed big man depth and better rebounding. We signed some role players and swapped Darko for Amare to improve our inside presence. 5) BrazilianDudeQ: What in the hell is going on in sanantonio A: Who knows. We are working to get it all straightened out.

The Spurs have had just one winning season in the time this league's been in existence, and this season is going to be no different. What ails San Antonio?

6) bloopQ: Do you think FBB is just out to get you this season? A: It's just not our year. We've had a few successful seasons but our team was heavily based on our star power and not as much on depth. After trading Dirk, we now have two players we like for next season. Both guys (Joe and Brandon) will start this season at the 3 and 4 respectively but coming into next year we are hoping to slide Amare to the 4 and have Brandon be a force off the bench in the 2nd unit. 7) shortyQ: Your team got a little darker w/ your recent trade for Amare. How do u think Amare will help you reach the playoffs? A: Although we got darker, it is too late too late. He fits a lot better with the way Dwyane plays and the move was more directed to help us next year. Although we had to swap firsts and our first may have great value, the way we looked at was Darko was an expiring contract that we weren't necessarily looking to pick up for the future. We see one player in this draft with equal to or greater than value greater than Amare's, and that is Kyrie Irving. In theory, we are trading our lottery pick, for Amare Stoudemire and Bobcats 1st either this or next. If the pick doesn't end up top To me, it was a no brainer and we needed to plan two steps ahead. 8) maliceQ: The Spurs have had just one winning season in the time this league's been in existence, and this season is going to be no different. What ails San Antonio? A: Great question. If it knew the exact answer hopefully we would be winning more haha. I think the key really comes down to the third option on the team. We've had teams based around a Tim Duncan/Jermaine ONeal duo, a Dwyane Wade/Caron Butler duo and recently a Dwyane Wade/Dirk Nowitzki duo. Now we have Joe Johnson coming in to play a third option and great defense where we expect him to excell for our team. I'm excited about where we are going for next year with 4 of our 5 starters under contract for next year in Dragic, Wade, Johnson, and Amare and then with Vazquez, Tony Allen and Brandon Bass coming off the bench. malice i fixed the previous answers as well. sorry about that man.
