Just messaged Jamie on facebook. Said they were like two months behind on the payments. He said he paid his half so he's guessing it's ronnie (p40/xero) but they haven't talked in a while.

I don't understand why Jamie can't just cover for Pforty since he knows that Pforty is on vacation. HASL probably won't actually die, there's a pretty consistent and loyal userbase that goes there, but things will definitely slow to a crawl.

Well Jamie was away a few days, so he didn't even know initially. He won't see/talk to Ronnie till Friday he said. So that's another couple days.
And he was saying it's $50 a month to maintain, and $200 for initial start up (not sure if $50 a piece or total) and honestly that's a shit ton of money invested over the course of what was like 5 years at least.
If they do re-open the forum it'll be dead as fuck initially. Most of the activity was from SL'ers and they're not going to come back (don't blame them)

I added him on FB and told him to update me so I'll let y'all know. I don't blame him for how he's handling the situation, in all honesty.

Its a situation that could have easily be fixed, he or they could have at least posted a thread letting everyone know they were struggling with payments. Members could have helped out with it.

I offered to pitch in some cash (nothing serious, but I was thinking crowd-sourcing) before to them, and they wouldn't have it. I don't think they want to have the members pay up.
