disagree with totally removing waivers or making it not an option for team over HC. Makes it damn near impossible to get under, especially since we have a cap floor there are only going to be a couple teams each season with limited cap room, therefore only a few teams able to take on any salary whatsoever. it's suppose to be difficult, that's why you don't go over in the first place

Too many GM's in different time zones and shit, if you dont happen to be online at the same time as any of the 6 or so teams with cap space for 2 days(absolutely realistic), then you receive cap penalties? Seems a bit unfair. Not to mention teams with cap space, probably have it for a reason most of the time. They don't want to take on cap space at that time, and are probably tanking. At least half the teams that have the cap space to help you out, will probably refuse to help strictly based off they are not looking to take on any sort of contract regardless of size, and aren't even looking to add players to help them win at the time.

That being said any GM that bails another GM out of HC via waiver for anything less than like $300-400 is an idiot regardless of how big the contract is or how good the player is. Those bailouts are the reason teams like Grizz and Magic run train through the league, it allows them to keep there core of players who in no way shape or form should be able to be affordable all at once on one team.

Yer that's the way it's suppose to be, you should be giving up something of value to get out of the HC, not your 12th man you happen to be paying a rookie contract for just to get under the HC and some cash. That's why you bust out your calculator and figure a way around it, that's called good cap management

meh i get what your saying but again I think most people do this as a past-time and if one mistake of being 1 or 2M over HC is gonna fuck your franchise as badly as it seems people want it to then we might have problems

I'm with SRG on this. The biggest problem with waivers is the ease to get under HC. But people still like waivers and I do too. So to fix the problem, remove it for teams under HC violation.
Another proposal would be to add a tiered waiver penalty for HC. Like if ur 3-4 mil over, then u can use waivers and u have to offer $500. But anything over and then u can't.

Remove all compensation from waivers. In that case, people will be less likely to bail out someone over the HC Yea, if they can work out a deal fine but getting cash for waiving a guy makes no sense.

I moved the GMA sub-board up so people can see the threads now.
